So easy and cheap
It was so easy to install it save me a lot of money last time I took my car to the dealership for the same reason they charged me 600 bucks for a blown fuse I think, but the main reason was that the latch switch was broken and some water went inside thats why it was opening by itself.. I'm so glad that I found out and I fixed it myself

2015 Malibu Trunk switch works perfectly
I hate it when the trunk won't open. Press the switch to open the trunk and nothing happens, No click, no unlocking.. nothing. I took the old switch out and tested the locking actuator via a paper clip on the wires of the switch and it unlocked right away. This told me the actuator was good. My multi-meter also showed the switch was bad. This switch was an identical replacement and perfect fit. It has been working great for almost 6 months. This switch was installed on my 2015 Malibu.

Excellent value
Ive known several people who owned Malibus around the same year model that had the same problem with the trunk opening button. If you’re gonna own the car for a few years, you’re probably run into the same problem. If you’re gonna do the work yourself, this is a great part to use to replace the OEM part. Just be ready to do some digging, getting to the part isnt too much fun

Excellent Replacement Part
Easy installation, but no instructions. Watch a YouTube video on how to install. Using the the remote more instead of pressing the button, which could cause wear and tear. I had my car close to two years (used 2016 model). I find it easier to use the remote. OEM product.
