Works very well on my hair type. I have a lot of super fine hair. It's not crunchy or flaky, so I didn't think it would hold well, but this photo is of day two of my braids after sleeping on them with no protective cap and no touch ups. The pieces sticking out are just because my hair is layered. My hair is usually super frizzy, especially day two of braids, but they still look great with this product. I love that it doesn't have alcohol in it, nor any of the other bad stuff, and the scent is extremely mild, just smells clean and natural. I'm super sensitive to scents. To a normal person, they wouldn't be able to smell anything. And the price point is amazing. Highly recommend, for my hair type at least. I'm not sure how it would work on thick and/or coarse hair, but it works very well for me. Oh, and it's definitely conditioning without being greasy. PS I use protective braids because I'm on disability and it's helpful when I don't feel well enough to do my hair for a few days.

Good product The only thing is that the jar was not full, it is very greasy. I like the results. I have frizzy hair and it helps a lot when I comb it.

This product worked great for braiding my son's hair! It provided excellent hold and made the process much easier. The jar is generously sized—we've used it twice and still have more than half left. Definitely a staple we'll continue using!

These definitely worked! The Jam itself is soft and doesn't get sticky on your fingers while braiding. It's not so greasy that you can't grab the hair and it is very moisturizing so the braids don't look dry. Worth the money spent on it and will definitely be buying more.
