Eucerin Redness Relief Day Lotion - Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Neutralizes Redness and Protects Skin - 1.7 fl. oz. Pump Bottle

I've never been officially diagnosed, but I'm 99.9% sure I have rosacea. Nothing seemed to help, and I was SO tired of having sunburnt-looking skin all the time. It was so embarrassing! Finally I came across this product, and figured I'd try it. Here's what I did:First, I made my own lotion using some really thick, rich lotion base (it's used for making bath/beauty products and is as thick as shortening), and added an equal amount of water to it .... about 1/4 cup of each. I heated it slightly in the microwave so it would blend, and dissolved about a tablespoon of Epsom salts into it. After letting it cool, I gently washed my face with a wet, cool washcloth. Then I very generously slathered on the lotion (too much to be absorbed), and waited about 10 minutes. Once that was dry (you could see a thin layer of Epsom salts on the surface of my skin), I gently washed off the lotion, and re-applied a very small amount that could be easily absorbed.That brings me to this product. I then applied small amounts of the redness cream to the red areas. Instead of rubbing it in, I patted it, which helped cover the redness very well. It doesn't take much at ALL. Even though it seems a little expensive, this bottle should last you for ages. It moisturizes, too, and my face doesn't feel like it's about to "crack" from dry, irritated skin anymore.Once I've got the redness cream on, I then apply my makeup as normal.I started this routine in May 2013, and two months later, nearly all the redness is GONE! Previously, if I exercised or drank just a tiny bit of an alcoholic beverage, my face would turn beet red within minutes. Almost nothing triggers it now, and even if it does, the redness is nowhere near as extreme as it was, and it disappears very quickly. I don't know if it was the Eucerin or the combination of Eucerin and Epsom salts, but one or both of them helped tremendously. (I'd used the cream base before, and although it was fine for a moisturizer, it alone didn't do anything to stop the redness.)I will definitely buy this product again. I’ve always been a big fan of Eucern products, as one of the first beauty secrets my grandmother taught me was eucern cold cream on knees and elbows in the cold winter months to prevent dry skin. I recently started developing rosacea, and decided to fight the disease full on. I first purchased this lotion when I initially started noticing that I had rosacea, and I was really shocked at how it dulled the redness on my face, while also keeping my face extremely moisturized without being oily. After using just the lotion for a few weeks I started using it in conjunction with this TreeActiv Anti Acne & Rosacea Treatment Sulfur Mask Plus Rhassoul, Bentonite Clay Mask with Witch Hazel & Aloe Vera - Refreshing Lemon Scent (1 Jar) (8 Oz), and that really started getting rid of my rosacea. The mask also tightened my pores, and reduced some of the acne I have on my face. Anyway, this lotion is absolutely fantastic, and I’m seeing so much improvement in my rosacea that I think there’s very little chance it will last till the end of the year. I recommend this lotion, and all eucern products!

This does have some good qualities, but the green tint is not for me. If you wear foundation or concealer every day, you might have better luck.I thought the green tint would be helpful, but I do not like it at all. I have redness only on my cheeks. The green does counteract the redness somewhat, making it look more tan colored. So then I have tan blotches on my fair skin tone. Plus, the lotion gives all the other parts of my face a sickly sort of glow. Of course... because, its green. So if I use this only on my cheeks, I need to use a second lotion on all other parts of my face.After several weeks of daily use, I do see a reduction in the amount of redness in my cheeks, which is very helpful. I think this is from the Licochalcone, (licorice extract) which is supposed to reduce redness. It is certainly not gone, but it's better.Overall, I think this lotion would probably be useful for someone with redness on their whole face, and someone who is not very fair skinned, or someone who wears concealer and foundation on a daily basis. For me, I'm going to look for something with licorice extract that is not tinted. Perhaps the Eucerine night cream.

So i am 2weeks into using this product and i'm still in shock by how well it works. It greatly reduces redness and you will see it the very 1st time you apply it. In my case i have a very red hot face,not sure why bu its incredibly annoying and at times really depressing and just hard to deal with,especially at work. This product somehow eliminates that feeling for me and also gives me a sense of security when out in the sun,knowing my pale white skin is protected. I only had one day where it was extremely hot outside and i felt my face flushing and said oh great. But then i looked in the mirror and was only slight pink, couldnt believe it. Ive tried so many products that either do nothing or work at first then stop after few days. But this product works consistently and is very affordable. Ill b buying this rest of my life handsdown. If your skeptical dont be,def try this out if your sick of dealing with redness

I've never put up a product review before but I was knocked out by this stuff. A couple of weeks ago a caught a dose of Parvovirus which left one side of my face looking as if I'd slept under a sunlamp. There's nothing that can be prescribed; you just have to let it run its course apparently. Tried E45 and Sudocream. Nothing. Got tired of walking 'round with a big red burny blotch on my face. Investigated Amazon. Found this stuff. It arrived the next day and the result was INSTANTANEOUS!! I'm not kidding! A lovely cool, soothing sensation and a slight tint to it which conceals as it heals.WARNING: it comes out of the bottle green, which is a bit off- putting but it looks ok once on. You also only need tiny amounts-don't splosh it on; you will turn yourself Goth!
