Fire Service Hydraulics & Pump Operations

I have at least 4 other books on Fire service Hydraulics this book is by far written in the most understandable manor. Some of the subject matter can get very difficult, This Author keeps it short and simple I highly recommend this book.

There really is a lot of good basic info, but some stuff has me wondering what is being discussed. A much lower price would be an improvement.(I’m a 35yr veteran firefighter)

I am a Fire Commissioner for the City of Manchester NH. I am also Mechanical Engineer with a good command of Engineering Mechanics I also have a rather large personal engineering library over with slightly more than twelve feet of shelf space devoted to fluid mechanics. In general I have been looking for a good hydraulics book geared towards the Fire Service for sometime -- I think this maybe it. This book does not over teach fluid mechanics -- no differential equations. Yet it contains all the fluid mechanics aka hydraulic engineering and data information a fire fighter needs to know. I particularly link the end of chapter summaries of critical and useful information and data Fire Fighters can copy these few summary pages and carry them in there turn out pocket for reference-- weight of two in line got it right here Chief, max flow through a five inch line got it right here ChiefThe book is good for classroom use, self study, personal improvement or as a reference.

The media could not be loaded. I got the book, still in the plastic. As soon as I opened it and turned to the first page, I noticed the whole binding had disintegrated. It’s basically just individual pages within the cover, not attached.

The first readable pages on this book start with pages 27-58. It completely skips the intro and chapter 1 of this book. The intro and chapter 1 can't even be found in the book. After skipping pages 27-58, the book continues with pages 21-215, which ends up repeating the first pages 27-58. Again, completely missing the intro and chapter 1 of this book.

A lot of grammatical errors and misleading information that has information that contradicts itself.
