COMP Cams 2120 Magnum Double Roller Timing Set for Ford 289, 302, '65-'88

Fits just fine on the 5.0 from a '95 Mustang that I am converting to carb and an E-cam. I purchased this timing set because I had already purchased a 1-piece fuel pump eccentric, and did not know that I needed a special timing set for that 1-piece eccentric. This works fine with my eccentric, and when installed everything fits behind the timing cover. Tthe timing cover is for a carbureted engine, and is NOT the same as the one from the '95; the 94-up timing covers on the 5.0 engines are much shorter and will not work with an eccentric.

After installing the set. Engine popped through carb. After much research I found 1968-1971 is a different timing set. Time for another teardown.

Fit my early 70s 302 block, used a 1 piece fuel eccentric and it cleared the timing cover with room to spare.

Chose this of lower priced ones that were OEM quality but not all metal with superior chain design.

Everything went well with install except for one issue... Be sure to use the correct timing mark that corresponds to which of the 3 key ways that fits your crank shaft, that way, you dont have to install it twice like i did.
