Mostly good
Good: Even though one end of the box was completed torn open, and the bar sticking out a bit, it appeared to be undamaged and the small bag of parts (castle nut, cotter pin and zerk fitting) was actually still in the box.Bad: The included zerk was defective. Won't thread into the track bar. I borrowed one from another part and it threaded in fine, so the problem was with the zerk fitting threads.Good: Fits great, will hopefully last longer than the original.Bad: Included note says to use higher than OEM torque, but doesn't say what that is. Moog website tells people to use OEM numbers. Confusing.I took one star off for poor packaging, low quality zerk and confusing note. Otherwise it seems to be a good solid part.

Premium heavy-duty Moog Dodge Ram front axle TRACK BAR. NOT a steering center link tie rod end. Beware of missing small parts!
Great part, much heavier duty than stock. This Moog DS1413 track bar is a larger diameter bar. It also has a ball-joint end that is larger and more heavy-duty than the junky stock OEM one. Much better quality and performance than any cheaper quality aftermarket track bar that is comparable to the factory stock one also. This part is worth every penny, warranty included or not. Beware of only one thing, this bar is supposed to come with a parts baggie that includes the much needed rubber boot, castle nut, cotter pin, and grease (zerk) fitting. They do not always include them, and sometimes you will have to contact Amazon and send this track bar back (at their expense) and get another one that has the parts baggie included. They can/will not send you a separate parts baggie. You will have to send the entire part back to receive another one. 5 star quality, but given only 4 stars because of the missing parts baggie that sometimes occurs when purchasing this part, that can potentially damn you and waste another 5 to 7 business days of your time. Unfortunately, this has happened to me on more than one occasion when dealing with "new" automotive parts that I've purchased through Amazon, which can be very frustrating and costly in vehicle down-time. Might be ok for the shade-tree DIYer that can wait, but it's NOT ok for a business owner.

Fits 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L
Perfect replacement for the worn-out track bar on my friend’s truck. Installation was much easier than expected, and the ball joint is very tough, rigid, and stiff. You might have to move it into place a bit before installation. Easy enough to install with all 4 tires on the ground. Just turn the steering wheel until the frame lines up with the axle and bolt it together. A bit of professional advice: after torquing the bolts to this track bar, take the truck for a short drive, steering back and forth, then, torque it again before installing the cotter pin. You need the suspension to settle into place before the final torque, otherwise it may come loose.

Just installed this and it works so ders great product just hope it out lasts the drive works ...
Just installed this on my 97 dodge ram 1500 4x4,i have replaced the factory one with a drive works. I have replaced all four ball joints and it was still wobbling. I have replaced all 4 tie rod ends and the same thing is going on. This product works wonders , great product I just hope it out lasts the drive works one that lasted Ab 2 months. only complaint is it didn't come with grease fitting, castle nut or cotter pin my old castle nut fit and cotter pins and grease fittings are cheap enough at the parts store it wasn't worth the trouble to send it back but it installed easy (only one bolt and one nut). It is a lot thicker and stronger looking and feels a lot better then the cheap one, the bushing is a solid bushing , not a 2 piece and the ball joint boot is a lot better designed then on the factory or the drive works brand. this isn;t the only problem my truck has but this helped make it drivible again. i will eventually order all moog ball joints, all moog tie rod ends, all moog bushings, and both moog wheel bearings. that should straighten every thing up.This item with the duel steering stabilizer worked wonders for the death wobble I was getting!!! Would definitely order again if needed.

Good replacement.
This is a well made replacement for the stock track bar. It’s an upgrade from the stock unit. The grease fitting cuts it’s own threads when you install it which is normal. Play in the track bar is a common cause of death wobble.

Beefy
I was experiencing quite a bit of wander and play in the steering of my 02 ram 2500. I first put on a steering box stabilizer brace. That definitely tightened up the steering, but still had wander.I ordered this track bar, and had it on the truck within 2 hours of arrival. It came in a large box stuffed with paper, with the original Moog box inside and in excellent condition. Mine had all the small parts.Prior to installing this, top center of my steering wheel had migrated to where it was riding around 10:00 instead of straight up 12. After putting this on, it was again centered. Test drive proved basically no wander. It is now pleasant to pull a trailer again. Still a little noise and play, but I think that is in steering box and shaft. So far, I would recommend. We will see how it holds up.One downfall, it comes with a card that says the stud torque is higher than OEM....BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHAT TO TORQUE IT TO!! So, that costs it a star. It's absolutely stupid that they couldn't just tell you what to torque the stud to. I looked on Moog website and found nothing either.

Great fit
Great fit, my application 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel 4x4 with balljoint Dana 60 unit bearing front axle, stock suspension height. The tracbar installation required using a floor jack to raise the driver side, and ratchet strap to pull the body over and position it such that the axle side mount could start in the mounting pocket and allow the frame side ball joint to be installed.Perhaps my front springs are sagging and no longer at factory ride height, because after installing the new tracbar, which seemed longer than the one removed, i had to center the steering wheel about 45*.
