The Air Injection Gold system creates a bubble of compressed air at the top of the tank. As water flows through the system the contaminates are forced into contact with oxygen. This causes them to oxidize into a larger form which is then trapped by the catalytic carbon media. In addition to the iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese removal capabilities of the Air Injection Gold system, by using catalytic carbon media a wide range of additional treatment is provided. Numerous chemicals including herbicides, pesticides, organics, MTBE (Methyl tert-butyl ether or methyl tertiary butyl ether) are removed by the Catalytic Carbon, as well as a wide range of tastes and odors. Controlled by the Fleck 2510SXT control head, this system automatically backwashes. The backwash process uses no chemicals, simply using the force of water to clean the media and flush the contaminates down the drain while replenishing the air bubble.
