The Best Ankle Weights on the Market
I highly recommend the All Pro ankle weights. I've used many types over the years as an aid for kicking practice. I need something that can take a lot of strenuous movement and stay in place while barefooted. I've always used weights with two velcro straps and was concerned that these had only one velcro strap, albeit a slightly wider one. I'm happy to report that these stay more or less in place without coming off and they don't get twisted around in any way.The other issue is that most other brands use some type of weighted sand or powder. Some are adjustable with individual sand packs that can be added or removed from individual pockets, and some are non-adjustable with powder permanently sewed in pouches. The problem is that they all slowly leak. The powder is usually black and makes a black mud on sweaty ankles and ankle weights. It also gets on your work-out towels and floor. The sand doesn't make mud, but still leaks on your ankles and floor. The weights get lighter with time and eventually have to be replaced (with a good riddance!).There are others brands with lead weights, but handling lead is a health hazard, which goes against the grain of fitness, rehabilitation, and wellness. The All Pro uses solid iron weights shaped like small cigars. They fit snugly into pockets on the inside of the ankle weights, and are covered with large padded flaps that are secured with velcro. The weights do not get in the way of ankle movement and the padding is a luxury. The 10 lb. ankle weights are two 5 lb. weights, one for each leg. They are the perfect weight for active leg movement (I'm 6' 6" and weigh about 200 lbs). In my opinion, the 20 lb. weights are too heavy for active leg movement. I'm assuming they're more for weight lifting exercises. These are the best ankle weights that I've ever used and they are enjoyable to use. I highly recommend them.

Great cuff - adjustable weights, comfortable, and easy to use
Love this cuff. Easy to customize the weight by adding/removing weight sticks. Easy to put on and off and it stays put. Nice padding. Highly recommend!

High Quality Product
These are comfortable -- very well padded -- and the weight is easy to adjust. However, the product has a few issues:A) Worn over bare skin they tend to slide up and down a lot when doing more explosive movements, e.g. plyometrics or even something lighter like hamstring curls. I don't think this has much of an effect on the quality of exercise but it's annoying and slightly disconcerting.B) Due to (A) I often try to really lock them down, and that's very tricky given the velcro fastening system. It would be very nice to have, in addition to the velcro, some way to tighten things further via a strap closure or something. (Or fix (A) using some different material.)C) Probably also related to (A) -- they don't breathe very well. After a longer/harder session they can be a bit wet.None of these are really a big deal, thus I only removed a single star. I think this is a quality product. And I think all of these defects could probably be fixed the same way, by reconsidering the material on the inside of the strap. Anyway, despite these minor flaws I'm happy with the purchase, and am already looking at buying a pair of the company's 10-lb weights to add to the mix.

Greatly improved product
I ordered the All Pro ankle weights because I was so satisfied with the last ones I had that were made by All Pro. Unfortunately those were lost in a recent move. I was delighted to find that the new ones are better constructed and much more comfortable than the ones that were lost. The method of securing them around the ankles is vastly improved. The original pair were made of the same blue fabric as the new ones. There were sleeves (for want of a better description) which held cartridges that contained sand or something of a similar texture. The tops of the sleeves were covered over with a Velcro flap that was approximately 1 1/2 - 2 inches wide and prevented the cartridges from falling out of the sleeves during exercise. The cartridges could be inserted or removed from the sleeves to change the total weight of the ankle weights. They were padded for comfort. They were held in place with a strap that was held in place by being looped through a D-ring.The new weights are more heavily padded, therefore, even more comfortable. Instead of sand-filled cartridges, these weights have cigar-shaped metal rods that can be inserted into the sleeves to change the weight up or down. The Velcro flap entirely covers the sleeves and is quite heavily padded for comfort. They are held in place with long Velcro straps that wrap around the outside of the weights. I have very small ankles, and with this long strap I can wrap the weights around my ankles snuggly enough that they do not move during exercise. Before I placed my order for these I did some research and read reviews of several different styles of ankle weights. I am certain I made the best choice and I definitely recommend these weights. I have no connection whatsoever with the All Pro company and, I do not know anyone who works for them.

Strenghthen your legs!
These ankle weights allow you to add 1 pound weights as you strengthen your legs. The max weight per leg is 5 pounds. While in physical therapy, I used these to build up leg strength (started at 2 1/2 pounds per leg and worked up to 5 pounds). They worked great. Now I have completed my PT. So I bought these and use them 3 times a week. My legs are stronger than they have been in years.Additional information: I have seen a person doing therapy on one leg. As he got more strength in his leg, the PTs would wrap both of the weights around his one leg until he was using 10 pounds of weight. Thought this was a handy idea for people who are bigger than I am.

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. I give it 1 star because I can't give 0. They are really bulky and when I fit it on my ankles they slide down as soon as I start walking. I was going to use them while training taekwondo but they would fly out as soon as I kick. I thought my ankles may be too big so I tried on my wrist and I found the same problem, as soon as I put my arm down it fell down.I am trying to return it and I have to pay the delivery back TO THE US!! they said they will refund me the postage if it has been their fault so I don't think I'll see any of my money back!SERIOUSLY, DON'T BUY!!

Great versatility and nice quality
I love the ability to quickly and easily change weight in each up to 5 pounds in half pound increments with solid steel weights. Very comfortable. My only complaint is there needs to be a steel ring to cinch velcro strap tightly as most others have, a bit challenging to secure tightly without it.
