Scouts BSA Handbook for Girls Spiral-bound – January 1, 2019

Because a couple of people wrote reviews based on girls being allowed to join Scouts, I had to weigh in.While I wish there was more of a discount for the kindle version of the book, I use this at least a few times a week to look up a requirement or piece of info. While I also have a paper copy, being able to search is key for me.

Great head start for a little camper

As a current assistant scoutmaster and I guess also as a reasonable human I find it disturbing adults have nothing better to do than bad mouth this book and the program. Many countries have had boy and girl troops for ages. This book is a great resource for all children and young adults. The youth enjoy the actual learning from this book and it even has useful guidance on being generally more friendly courteous kind and cheerful. This book could also be useful to adults who write spiteful narrow minded reviews on Amazon.

Great resource book for scouting.Would just like to point out that Scouts originally started out as Scouts...you know...for everyone, boys and girls alike. Only when it was introduced to America did we think it needed to be divided into two separate entities.Boys and girls are NOT allowed to camp together, their troops are separate. However, girls are finally allowed to learn the EXACT same outdoor skills that boys have had all of these years. Kudos to Scouts for finally doing this!

Perfect- exactly the same as the boys version, except the pictures and pronouns. (And one small added feature about wilderness hygiene.)

This is wrong for girls to join. They ruined an organization that has been just boys for over 110 years, and the girl scouts for 108 years. These women who want gender equality had to come and ruin the boy scouts because they hate men. Yet, they couldn't leave the bsa alone. So if its eo GREAT, then how come boys can't join the girl scouts? Wheres the gender equality here? It is honestly sad that the boy scout leaders say, "stick to your morals". OK, but im pretty sure that in the scout oath it says," to keep myself morally strait" where are the morals for the bsa people to let a good organization fall down to the ground. Its not the boys fault that the girl scouts is not as good as the boy scouts. The girls scouts just sells cookies, which os great that they learn that, but they do not do the same activities as the boy scouts. SO, WHY DOESNT THE GIRL SCOUTS STEP UP THEIR GAME? Maybe make it more interesting to be in. When a scout earns his eagle, it used to be a good deal and mean hard work, now it will never be the same that everyone can earn this. What has happened to our world.😢😐😱

It is not right that girlss can join BOY scouts. Both genders have their own organization, the girl scouts and the boy scouts. Both divissons cover the same topics of citizenship, wilderness skills, first aid, and being good to the community. The only thing that changed was adapting thee book to females.
