Very nice crib!
I bought the natural color. I have knotted pine floors in my home and it matches perfectly! In the stock photos, the natural appears a lot lighter than in person.I put the crib together myself. It was easy to put together. My daughter has slept in it for several months, she will be one in less than two weeks and she still is in it. It was very easy to put together and I love that it had the rocking capability. That calmed her down when I first got it. Since then I have placed the wheels on the crib and it is very sturdy. Two of the wheels lock so you do not have to worry about the crib sliding everywhere. However, it is nice to have the crib roll from the foot of the bed to the side of the bed so I can watch her when she sleeps. My only complaint is the wood is very soft. You have to adjust the height with growth and each time I have managed to scratch the wood really bad. The crib requires four hardware parts that you can move up and down and each time you move them you get scratches in the wood. I take very good care of my stuff and try to be careful but there really is no way around it.I will say the built in teether over the railing is genius! My daughter managed to chew another crib to the point it looks like a gofer got to it.The so called mattress is really worthless. I ended up buying the Dream On Me 3" Portable Crib Mattress , it is not top of the line but works well. I added memory foam to the top that I make sure is secure under her fitted sheets. She seems very comfortable when sleeping. It states it will last to 50 pounds. I think she will outgrow it age wise before the weight but it is perfect for what I needed. It is neither too big nor small and even though it sits out in my bedroom, it does not take up a lot of room. I would recommend this crib if you are looking for something portable and made well, even with the soft wood.

Standard cribs are kind of a waste of space!
WHY didn't I know about mini-cribs when I had my first? Here I am, four babies in, and I just *now* find a wonderful, practical invention called a "mini-crib." I can remember setting up the crib or our first baby out in our living room, nearly cussing through the whole process, only to find that standard cribs don't fit through doorways. Duh, say experienced parents, but how were we to know?Anyway, having owned a couple of standard cribs, always needing assembly, I can say that one of the first positive impressions I had of THIS mini crib was how easy it was to put together! No bumping knuckles, no fidgeting with misaligning bolts and nuts, no cussing whatsoever. And YES, it DOES fit through a doorway after assembly. This crib is really quite good looking, I think, especially considering it was just over $100. I did buy an organic mattress to supplement the thin one the crib came with. Any possible chance I can get that my baby will sleep better, I sure as heck am going to go for.The rocking feature is nice. It allows for a good amount of movement without making me nervous about tipping over (I'm sure my two year old will try!).What's best is the size of the mini-crib. I think it's slightly bigger than a standard bassinet. Fits nicely next to my bed, even though our bedroom is TINY. And again, being able to fit through a doorway is a huge plus. That means that if we decide to move the baby out of our room into his siblings' room, we won't have to disassemble it to move it literally ten feet.I guess time will tell how it'll hold up with normal use, but for now I'm extremely pleased!!

2013 UPDATE: Thank goodness we finally bought this!
****UPDATE**** 1/24/2013:-Our daughter just turned 13 months old and she still fits great! She is in the 50th percentile for weight at 20.5 lbs. and the 75th percentile for height at 30.25 inches. She is able to roll around (she moves a lot in her sleep) and isn't constricted by the size. We actually roll up light blankets to line the perimeter so that when she rolls she doesn't hit anything to hard and she still has plenty of room. We have had it set on the second from the bottom height setting (the lowest one hurts my bad back too much to get her in and out of it easily) and when she stands up there's still no way she could pull herself out (note- she isn't really climbing yet so I will update once she outgrows this.) Also, we only ended up using the amazing rocking feature while she was really small say till about the 4th month and then we needed it to be on the wheels more than the rocker setting (yes, this is a one-or-the-other type set-up!) We moved this thing cross-country in our Honda Civic and it held up great. Very happy with our purchase still and I know will be able to re-sell for a great price with my moms group.Pros:-perfect for small spaces i.e. apartment/efficiency living, small room, etc. (it was just a tad bit smaller than the Graco pack and play I was using as her bassinet.) A regular size crib is about the width of a full-size bed!!-the rocking feature is absolutely amazing! It is usually hard to set her down without waking her up but if I start rocking the crib right after I put her down she stays asleep! Plus I can rock it from bed which is perfect for when she half wakes up at night :)-includes teething rails-feels very sturdy-looks great (I have it in white)-it has stoppers you can put down so it doesn't rock accidentally- although I find it is very steady and doesn't rock on its own very easily.Cons:-hard to find sheets/mattress pad! I bought the American Baby Company Value Jersey Knit Porta-Crib Sheet, Celery based off of other reviewers and it was way too thin and didn't fit the mattress we have in the crib. I am now using a part sheet, part mattress pad that I got from Babies R Us (see below).-not really a con but don't forget to account for a couple of inches on either side of the crib if you are going to use it to rock. Although it is smaller than the pack and play, it takes up a little more room once it moves from side to side.)Tips--We are using the Mini Crib Mattress by Davinci- traditional size. CRESCENT MINI CRIB 50 COIL MATTRESS It fits perfectly! We are only using this mattress- not the vinyl mattress pad the crib came with (it's wayyyy too thin)-the Graco Quilted Pack 'n Play Sheet, Tea fits the Cresent mattress but just barely! Wash it carefully because it is very snug already.-We rigged the Breathablebaby Breathable Mesh Crib Bumper, Safari Fun STANDARD size to fit the mini crib by wrapping it around the sides more and velcroing it to itself.-let it air out a few hours once you take it out of the box (it smelled like the packing materials for a few hours)Hope this helps you make a decision about your crib choice!
