We replaced 2 new A/C and furnace units for our home 3 years ago. The free maintenance contracts were end this year so I decided to replace the filters myself. The filter size from the unit show 16x25x5 and I trust 3M brand so I bought 2.Upon received, I pull the old filter out and noticed that the 3M one is actually about 1” taller than the old one. After installing new filters into the furnaces, it fit perfectly and there are no gaps. I am shocked that the filters from maintenance company were smaller for the past 3 years.Overall, a great purchase for me. Perfect fit for Carrier brand gas furnace.

[In general:] This was advertised correctly, the images were true and they do a great job.[What I liked:] I liked it a lot, if your looking for a high end filter, this might be a good choice. I liked dense material, it really seems to capture a lot without making the blower suffer.[Packaging & Delivery:] The packaging is as expected and arrived without incident. Delivery was fast and as promised.[Summery:] All in all I am very happy with he product and am comfortable with the 5 stars. I have no problem recommending this or the seller and have it on auto-order with Amazon.

I have been using Filtrete filters for years. They last a decent amount of time and do a good job. Tried some other brands a long time ago but have been a steady customer of Filtrete since. Recommend

The slim fit filter fits fine and does the job. The outer box it arrived in was torn, beat up and half open. The filters were only slightly impacted and overall ok.

Great quality, just wish it was a fit for my Lennox air handler filter. The x7760 filter actual size is not true to 25×16×5 dimensions. See from the pics that the filtrete is not either.It's not intuitive that too filter that are marked withe the same dimensions are off as much as an inch in multiple dimensions.This is too thick to fit Lennox air handlers.

This filter does extractly fit my Trion Air Bear 2000. There are sponge on the both side, solid seal and firm.

Less dust in the house than the 1" thick versions. Less Air restriction than the 1 " versions as determined by Dwyer® Liquid Filled Wall Mount Manometer, Mark II installed in plenum. Lasts 4 months depending on how dusty/ smokey/ or how much pollen is in the air that gets into the house..

It’s hard to find MERV 13+ air filters in the 20x25x5 size, but not only was this available, the price was very good compared to alternatives and was quickly delivered. The filter fits inside of my air bear unit as snugly was the OEM filter but also being able to save the money.

Beware as these are NOT 4" wide. They are about 4.5" wide. And further beware that you can buy "Filtrete 3M 16x25x4" that are about 3.5" wide!! The other dimensions also differ.Let's recap - TWO DIFFERENT SIZES altogether, BOTH having the exact same "3M Filtrete 16x25x4" label!! Way to go 3M. It's like a bad joke.I ordered 6 of these and now have to send them all back.I think that when it says it's for a Honeywell furnace, they are the larger size. What is so hard about writing the ACTUAL dimensions on the packaging?!

Good filters! As stated by another reviewer, this particular model fits filter cavities that are a bit larger. I was able to fit mine in the filter slot without issues. The review posted by Sherric01 has dimensions on there that will help out. To save you some time in looking for it I've copied part of the user's review here. So again, these dimensions are not from me but from Sherric01:"...16 x 25 x 4 THESE ONES are actually 16 x 24 5/8 x 4 3/8"Filters well and I have had no issues with it. Purchasing on here was significantly cheaper than purchasing it at a big box store locally. I've deducted one star for the miss on dimensions. If you're filter opening will accomodate this model, I would recommend it.

I don't mean to suggest these filters are inferior...I haven't tried one yet. However, they carry no branding, and in fact, say manufactured by furnacefiltersCanada.ca. Clearly not as described on the website! The only performance indication on the filter frame is MERV 11. These may be good filters for the price, but there is no indication they are manufactured by Filtrete, as indicated on the Amazon website. Pretty shabby, in my opinion.

*** update despite the package and writing on the filters being identical to what I buy from the store these are not the same size****Much better price then in the stores. I'm going to be buying these online from now on. Lowes wanted over $45 each!They keep the house smelling nice and keep the dust levels down despite having 2 dogs and 2 cats. We change the filters more often because of the animals so it's nice to have this at a more affordable price.

Well, I guess I should have read the reviews, but who would've thought that ordering the size showing on the old filter, listed in huge blue letters, would result in my receiving filters that are too big for my furnace? Shouldn't be that difficult, right? Apparently it is. The 16x25x4" filters I need are ACTUALLY 15.4 x 24.4 x 3.6". And oddly enough, they are more expensive, no real savings there over buying them locally. So much for that.
