I ordered mine for my 2008 Chevy Equinox. My alarms included the check engine light along with the service stabilitrac/traction control light. I had problems with my gas mileage, loss of acceleration power, and an occasional rough idle at start. Apparently the Stabilitrac and Traction control lights will come just because the engine light is on. Which was news to me because my engine light was on forever and I just couldn't hammer it down (paid off vehicle so no money wasted on mechanics) why the light was on. I figured the Stablitrac/Traction control lights were on because there was a messed up sensor somewhere or something. Well, I changed the EGR valve and ALL indicators and symptoms are gone. (After I cleared the alarms by disconnecting the battery for a few seconds) the car is back to 25 MPG and the acceleration has returned to normal and I have zero alarms. I'm very satisfied.

Until this review, this product had only 5 star reviews, although based on a low number of reviews. So, I thought I would take a chance with this. My car is a Pontiac Montana and the EGR is very, very difficult to get to. I had a couple of EGR related engine codes and that is why I purchased this. With this part, the new engine codes did not reappear, but the EGR emission readiness monitor would never set to "ready" and so I could not get the car to pass inspection until it did (The evap also would not, but apparently it is dependent on the EGR readiness to be ok before it does). I drove the GM "drive cycle" multiple times and put over 1000 miles on the car waiting for it. Unfortunately, it never did. So, I went to the junkyard and pulled the same part from a malibu which has much easier access and install it on my van. I drove the drive cycle once and the readiness for the EGR went to "ready". So, I know there was something defective with this part that I bought. Amazon allowed me to return the part. Your mileage may vary as it apparently did for all the other people happy with the part. In the future, if it is a difficult part to get to and especially if it is emissions related, I will choose an OEM part.

Check engine light was on and the EGR valve was the issue. Had it on in about 15 minutes where a real mechanic would of probably finished in 5 minutes! Mine did come with the gasket. I have now noticed about 3 miles more per gallon while commuting to work. Did not expect this to happen, it just runs better with a new EGR.

This product does not include the required gasket!. It's easy to install and fits just as the original. I have a 2008 Chevy Equinox and I was getting service stabilitrak and traction control errors. It is believed that replacing this part will fix the problem. The warning lights initially disappeared after installation but they have returned. However I do notice better gas mileage and better acceleration than before.

Quick and easy replacement for original unit. It does include the mounting gasket.No issues, no more error codes. Much less $$ than the GM part.

I have an 08 chevy equinox LS. I bought this part to replace the one I had. I was hoping that it would fix my traction control light and my stability track light and it did. I've been driving with it for about a week now and it's been nice not seeing those codes on the dash.

Hade EGR valve code. Could of possibly cleaned it but it was so hard to get to I decided to just replace it.

Replacement for 07 Equinox, 10 min to replace. resolves several error codes. Be sure to remove positive batt cable and let sit for 10 min to clear codes if you do not have a scan tool.
