Conair Instant Heat Compact Hot Rollers w/ Ceramic Technology; Black Case with Purple Rollers

I like the Conair products. I have their FLAT IRON, CURLING IRON, BLOW DRYER and BLOW DRY BRUSH. I am very happy with all the products. I trust the brand. When I read the reviews for the CONAIR HOT CURLERS, there were complaints about the curlers not getting very hot. I decided to check for myself. I got the curlers and read the instructions, even though I have been using hot curlers for decades....., just to see if there was anything different. BINGO THERE WAS! The description of the product in the AMAZON add, says the RED DOT on one of the curlers will turn WHITE when curlers are ready and it does. The INSTRUCTION SHEET tells you that when the RED DOT turns WHITE, the curlers are ready for use. HOWEVER, if you prefer HOTTER CURLERS let them heat for an additional 10 minutes. I do prefer hotter curlers, so I let them warm for 10 minutes longer and they were VERY HOT to the touch. I am so happy with the hot curlers. The manufacturer needs to include that info. in their adds. Most people don't read instructions on something as simple as curling your hair. Love the curlers!

I'm on my 6th ort 7th set of these. I use them everyday, and wear them out. I hope they never stop making this model because the rollers get really hot which is what i need for my hair. Love the quality so much!

I had a previous set of electric rolls for about 15 years. They worked great. When they finally died, I was looking for large diameter of at least 12 rollers. I opted for this model.Where my other curlers sat in the heating element horizontally, these rollers stand vertically. Previously, I'd had to plug in the unit then unplug it to turn on and off. Not with this new set. Unlike my previous set, this system has an on and off switch.I've seen a lot of reviewers complain about the clips. It took me a few times to get used to the butterfly clips, but they hold the rollers is place. Conair also includes the U shaped pins to hold the curlers in place—so you have a choice of the kind of clips you want to use.It only takes a few minutes for the rollers to heat, and they do their job perfectly.Overall, I'm very satisfied and happy with my purchase. The only reason I only gave four stars is because while the U shaped pins have a slot in the base to hold them, the butterfly clips do not fit in the base. I had a small little drawstring bag that works perfectly to hold the butterfly clips, but lack of storage for the butterfly clips is something you should consider with this product.

Listen, I don't know what some other reviewers thought they were buying when they bought this set, but it works, it;s cheap, it;s well-made and incredibly convenient. Electric hair setters have been around since the sixties and have changed very little. The rollers get hot, yes - they have to to do their job. Even used a cold curling iron? But these rollers will not burn your fingers unless you hold them closed in your hand for long minutes, then I wonder if they wouldnt cool to the point of non burning anyway.. Pick them up, roll your hair, and clip them in place. The clips take a time or two to understand how they work, and yes, they can be a little uncomfortable, but, woman, you are putting curlers in your hair...do you expect them to feel pleasant?These heat up quickly, and curl nicely. If you have a ton of heavy hair, you will want extra rollers. My hair is collar length and I am fine with these. I use them for body, curve, and bounce, I do not expect to look like Shirley Temple when I am done.If you leave them in a few minutes, you get light body that will last a few hours, especially if you spray or gel. If you leave them in ten min or so, you get long lasting curls. If you heat them for ten min they're good to go for a quick pick me up, heat them longer, the curl lasts longer. Follow the directions, use the thing the way it's meant o be used and it's a life-saver. I took the with me to a weekend wedding - series of parties, dinners, ceremony. They were way quicker than curling iron, I could do my make up while they heated and get dressed while I wore them Loved them!Now the set resides in a vanity drawer, fits nicely, and I heat them up right in the drawer when I need them. If you want a wonderful, inexpensive tool that's excellent for what it is MEANT to do, buy this one. Buy two - keep one in your desk at work.

If you want hot rollers, these are not the ones. Think WARM. The days of hot rollers like the ones with the spikes on them seem to be gone. These get a little warm, but you can wrap your hand around one and hold it there until you get tired of doing so. As far as a curl that lasts..it barely does that. I have a bob with layers of top. I can wrap my hair around the roller a little bit more than once. It does show a curl when removing the roller, but shortly afterwards, it's almost gone. I'm seriously thinking about returning these.

These hot rollers are a disappointment. I could not return them because I missed the deadline. They are the right size I was looking for but they DO NOT HEAT UP properly. Barely hot. So they are useless. I do not recommend them at all.

I buy another set of these about every 5 or 10 years. They work great and are impossible to wear out ... they just keep on working no matter what. I gave my last set to a friend and got a new one and expect it to last as long as the rest. They work great on my very long hair and will do any hairstyle. They're gentle and not nearly as hot as a curling iron or other methods. I air-dry my hair and then throw a few of these in. So easy and zero damage to my hair!
