Nice light, but product design is poor

I used this in my studio for a number of months, and it is fairly easy to set up and take down. I like how portable it is, and I often carried it to shoot events or headshots at expos. Eventually the tiny piece that attaches to the hot shoe broke. A small sliver of plastic came apart, which means the entire thing is useless. I have reached out to the company and heard nothing back. I imagine one could purchase the plastic frame again, as the fabric structure is in perfect condition. But I can't find out how to do that. Anyways... I'd have given this 5 stars if the overall design would have had longevity, but you can't have one teensy plastic piece go out and not be able to replace it.
