Works for my need
I built a holder for a tall ham radio antenna that fits into the rear hitch on the truck. This 24" piece, of "mild" steel, did the trick. I cleaned it a little and painted it. Does the job.

Strong and as advertised
Worked great to extend the tongue on my trailer. The metal is coated with something but it isn’t painted. It did come rust free.
