CoasterStone Absorbent Coasters, 4-1/4-Inch, "Retro Modern", Set of 4

I have never knocked a star off for pricing, but there's a first for everything.Almost thirty bucks. Thirty bucks for four coasters. Yes, I bought them. Yes, I knew the cost. They were a gift. They are exactly what they should be, and work wonderfully. They are of good quality, heavyweight, with nice printing and color. Great mid century pattern and style.At sub $20 these are 5 stars, no problem. $30 just seems so steep for these.

In the first order I received, one of the coasters was broken off on one corner. I returned and ordered it again, and the second order arrived in good condition. They are fragile but I like them.

Just well made all around. Aesthetically and in build. Gets my full recommendation.

So we really like the retro look and they go well with our mid century modern design. The absorbency is good although I suspect it’ll get better over time.The main problem is the packaging is poor and both our orders arrived damaged. The first order that originated in Arizona, according to the tracking, had multiple broken corners (see pix). We’re in the process of returning them (thank you Amazon). The second order originated in Dallas and had one broken corner (see pix). We’re going to keep this order and hope gorilla glue does the job.It’s unfortunate because they are nice looking. We’re all for minimal packaging but they are in their original box (see pix) and shipped in a padded envelope. That’s really not enough for sandstone discs. Too much pressure and snap!

Mine arrived without any breaks. They were wrapped in styrofoam paper and taped up. I also had them come in a box as I had a couple other items delivered so they were well protected. These aren’t the thickest or most absorbent stones, but I didn’t really buy them for that. They look cool and are large squares so it’s easy to plop a glass down without worrying if you’re near the edge.the colors pop fairly well too.

I loved these coasters.So excited to get them.However..one of the coasterscame cracked.I am going to try and glue itand if that doesn’t work..I will send them back.I hope the others stay together.Order dateFeb 25, 2021Order #112-3304912-9883443

Super cute and well-made retro coasters that actually absorb moisture. What good is a coaster if it doesn't absorb moisture? Lots of vintage coasters were made of plastic or wood, and the moisture just sits there and eventually falls onto your beautiful retro walnut table. Not these, they absorb! Bravo!

I wasn't sure from the description if I would like these, but my home is atomic ranch and the decor was right so I took a chance. They actually work quite well. They absorb moisture, are thick enough that they don't leak through and heavy enough that they don't lift off attached to your glass. There is a good amount of cork on the bottom to protect your furniture. I'll be purchasing more and hope there will be more design selections available.

love these...have used them yet so dont know how they will react to constant use, but they are even more pretty when you see them than in the pictures. They seem like good quality.
