Doesn’t work
I should have read the reviews before buying. I bought my son a straight talk phone as a starter phone for Christmas. I spent an hour Christmas morning trying to figure out how to add the minutes. The website kept telling me I was giving the incorrect esim card number. I finally looked to see if the phone came with a SIM card already inserted, which it did, so I used that number. I was then told that these minutes, although straight talk, were incompatible with his phone. I ended up having to buy more minutes online which is what I should have done in the first place. Save yourself the trouble and don’t buy straight talk. If you already have it, I’d buy minutes on their site so you know they’re compatible with the phone you’re using.

Buyer Beware
The code will arrive on a piece of paper, it did not work for my daughter, she even called them. If you are able to return make sure you have a tracking number, I unfortunately sent back through the mail and should have taken to the post offe to see if I could have tracking, my mistake!! They will not accept returns from UPS. Read carefully I would hate for you to waist $100.00.

Cannot Redeem Service Cards since February 2022
After having to deal with Straight Talk customer service chat twice now, I wanted to write this review. At the end of January 2022, there was a 'data breach' that exposed personal data of users on Straight Talk and other carriers. Since that time, there was an additional step implemented to redeem a PIN card which involves inputting your phone IMEI number. While I've input all the correct information and it is viewed as correct by the site itself, it rejects the PIN and says to contact customer service. I had some compassion and understanding in February as it was new system change and maybe some outstanding issues Straight Talk was working on. When I had the exact same issue again in March, I knew it was time to look for another carrier. While the service itself is pretty decent, it is ludicrous that one must jump through additional hoops to just add more service time for which one has already paid. The customer service has the audacity to tell me what I should be doing to redeem service when this company could simply have a functioning website which they formerly had working without issue for years. Avoid.

Junk card
This card was a dud. Someone tried to activate it and it didn't work. Do better Amazon.

Straight Talk's Customer Service is Less Than Zero
If you have Straight Talk and have ever contacted their customer service you should be very familiar with the seven levels of h*ll.. Expect to spend literally hours on hold listening to what only can be described as torturous elevator music. Only then to be connected with someone who cannot speak a coherent word of English. Who gives some vague promise to solve your problem, then after 45 minutes of blah, blah, blah, suddenly disconnects you or transfers you up the chain to "Tech Support" only to have to listen to more horrible music and ads. If you are lucky (or not) to reach the next help level, you repeat the problem and whole blah, blah, blah thing only to be disconnected... I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with Straight Talk (AKA Tracfone) trying to get a phone activated. How hard could that be..? It never happened. Ended up having to go to another carrier (not much better, but a little) and losing my phone number in the process. If you are a gluten for punishment, then Straight Talk is the carrier for you..!

DO NOT BUY STRAIGHT TALK
The company name is itself a gross joke. I have never had a customer service office lie to me so much. They made an error on their side and refuse to fix it unless I pay them 30 dollars, saying its the only option.I chose option number two and subscribed to a new carrier. Of course this is after 5 days of no phone service and countless hours of fruitless chats with customer service agents who are unwilling to help fix their mistake unless I paid them.Do not use this service you will be sorry and deeply regretful just like me. Seriously.
