An Excellent Resource!
Teachers, parents, and children will all love Explore Forces and Motion! by Jennifer Swanson. This book is meant to teach and inspire children to really understand and explore forces and motion with the 25 projects spread throughout the book. The chapters cover forces, gravity, motion, magnetism, sink/float, and forces at work.Jennifer Swanson makes tough concepts easier for everyone to understand. She breaks them down in ways children can understand them or teachers can explain them. QR codes, jokes, and illustrations provide the finishing touches to make this book especially appealing to children. This could be an all-in-one source for a science unit for content instruction and hands-on activities. Or it could inspire great learning for a child who wants to understand their world more.I'm using this as a resource for science camp as well as for some science summer family fun.

you will love this book
Whether you’re teaching forces and motion for the first time or the fiftieth, you will love this book. It contains crystal-clear explanations, key vocabulary, low-prep. projects, and a scientist overview from Aristotle to Einstein. All these elements are beautifully woven together to bring alive the fascinating world of physics. Your students will have fun pondering the INVESTIGATE question at the start of each chapter and performing the 25 hands-on projects throughout the book. NGSS and Common Core aligned; this easy-to-use book can be read aloud in primary, or used in reading groups in upper grades. I’m a veteran primary teacher and an active member of the National Science Teachers Association. I’ve waded through loads of well-meaning curriculum and books over the years. This book is a winner!

Great Book and Resource
This book allows kids to explore force and motion in kid-friendly language. Jennifer Swanson's books always take tough STEM concepts and writes about them in a way kids can understand. The 25 hands-on projects (that align to the standards-thank you!) get kids to see force in motion at work. Not only is it a great book to have on your bookshelf but it's a great resource for your science class as well.
