Works great
They are what's expected..old school with a washer seal...I take 30 seconds and remove the stem before sweating (soldering) to save overheating seals ...you can't do that with 1/4 turn models.

The metal guts CAN replace 40 yr old plastic. Perfect match
I used this to repair a very old Eastman shut-off. One phillips and an adjustable wrench. And a pair of simple pliers. It works. Just saved a fortune . Thank you. I did have a pick on hand just in case of crusty gaskets stuck in there but in my case their weren't. Super simple. Thanks again to the person who mentioned this possibility in their review.

Good Replacement
I ordered this due to the unavailability of the valves at the local big box stores. I only used the handles with the washer assembly. I did use the bodies. My project included replacing leaky shutoff valves under the bathroom sink. Since they were welded, I did not want to cut and soldier the new valves.

Same as a 40 year old Eastman valve, inside and out
I also purchased this unit to replace the internals on an older Eastman valve from the early 80’s. It was identical. Same threads and seal setup. Had the same “Eastman SpeedFlex” branding on the handle. I had to clean the old valve body internal threads extremely well before the new valve stem would thread in. It seals and works perfectly.

Received on time, but Item defective after installed was liking when tried to screw the Valve.

A good replacement for the Eastman shutoff valves made 30 years ago
The Eastman shutoff valves in my house are pushing 30 years in age, and they start to leak. I bought these only for the cores, and the cores fit in the old Eastman valves perfectly.

Does what it is supposed to do.
What can I say.... its a plumbing stop valve. Bit of a pain to solder these things on, but it works and does what it is supposed to do.

Great valve just not meant for pex tubing.
I returned it because I had order the incorrect valve. I required a valve that would install into pex tubing. This valve will NOT work in pex tubing.
