Outstanding
1- Eggplant Dip (Baba Ghanoush):I am familiar with the Baba although I do no not remember where and when I had it last. But I am a fan of Eggplant. This "Made in Lebanon" product has in fact very few ingredients: Grilled eggplant, Tahina, salt and citric acid. With a very low calorie content, it has a reasonable 80 gm of salt and 2 gm of carbs. The serving suggestion on the can suggest adding Lemon juice and salt to taste, olive oil and Pomegranate seed to garnish. I added some Parsley and Zaatar. One could eat the dip right out the can with Pita bread. I could the taste the Grilled eggplant, even a small bit here and there, the Tahina does not overwhelm the Baba. It is an excellent, delicious and healthy dip, surprisingly filling and ready to serve. With the expected Cortas quality, I would recommend this dip for any occasion.2-Hummus Tahina - Chickpea Dip:Don't let the name of this can confuse you, this is just a very good Hummus with very few ingredients: Water, Chickpeas, Tahina (Sesame paste), citric acid and salt. Low on sodium, fat and carb., this Hummus is ready to eat right out of the can. You can add lemon juice, garlic and salt to taste. I did not think it needed it; but I garnished the bowl with olive oil, parsley, cumin and paprica (red). Delicious as a ready to use dip or to a make pita bread or a bagel sandwiche with lettuce and tomato and whatever else you like as you would order it from any deli.

Excellent Baba Ghanoush and Hummus Tahina - Good, Quick, and Easy
Making baba and hummus from scratch is a time consuming process. The ones you can buy ready-to-eat in containers at the grocery store are not ideal. These canned versions from Cortas provide the perfect middle ground. The majority of the work has been done, but you can still produce something quite tasty and healthy that is very close to fresh made. In addition, you can adjust the additional ingredients to your own taste to make it exactly how you want it. For hummus I tend to like a little less olive oil, a little more lemon juice, and more spices than what you usually get, but usually (not always!) sticking to the pure traditional recipe. From some of the reviews I have read here, I get the impression that some people have eaten these straight out of the can with no additions. That is not what was intended for these products, for which suggested recipes are listed on the can, and it certainly doesn't work. The baba could be eaten straight out of the can, but it would be a shame not to give it its full potential of flavor and texture. The hummus doesn't work at all straight out of the can. But when you treat it well, and add good, appropriate ingredients, it is outstanding. These products are far better than one would normally expect from a can. These will continue to be on my regular shopping list as long as they are available. Highly recommended!

I thought these were terrible. Tasted only of citric acid and the metal of the cans.
I make my own hummus, and I'm pretty darn good at it. Good enough that other people ask me to bring it or make it for special events. I can't match my favorite Lebanese restaurant yet, but I'm getting there. This was the most disappointing purchase I have ever made on Amazon and that is saying a LOT. Watery pureed chickpeas with sourness that doesn't even taste like lemon. And it tasted like metal cans. The baba was about the same. No seasonings really. I could add olive oil and garlic and salt but they're both already too citric-y (not lemony) and metallic to rescue. If you are at all picky about your spreads, skip these. The Cortas molasses flavors are generally good, and the grape leaves are sort of middling as canned dolmas go. Just don't trust the tin cans.

Extremely overpriced.
$8.99 for 2 regular sized cans of 1Humus & 1 Baba Ghanoush. I had to add lemon, garlic, powder, scallions, EVOO to both prior to serving. These 2 cans should cost about $4-$5.00 for both as the products which do have a lovely consistency. If you can't puree chickpeas and prepare the eggplant then you decide.

Cortas Baba & Humus.
If you want to enjoy this product which is bland and does not compare to fresh made however, if you add some olive oil, lemon, garlic powder it tastes terrfic. It can be spiced according to your taste adding salt pepper garlic and the lemon juice and some olive oil give it a creamer tastier testure. I plan to buy again

Didn't care for flavor
Maybe it needs to be combined with other things to be good, I only used one and will try to salvage the rest in something else, maybe thicken a soup??

Cortas really came through for us!
Fantastic! For years our Easter Feast has been Greek/Middle Eastern, and we have always made it all "from scratch". Also for wedding receptions, and enjoyed throughout the year. This year was an Amazon Easter! We had not even known that our favourites could come all ready to serve and for such a great price. The Cortas Hummus Tahini was excellent and we added a wee bit of lemon juice mixed in, and a drizzle of EVOO on top, A gentle bit of oven warming just to room temp and it was ready to go. The Cortas Baba Ghanoush was wonderful and the flavour of the grilled eggplant came through beautifully, but without overwhelming the other ingredients. When we made " from scratch", our six children were all in the kitchen with us, each with particular tasks, including in those days, spanekopeta, tiropetes triangles, and baklava. A family member now has a gluten-sensitivity, and we've not found a gluten-free phyllo, so off the menu for now. :( But still a lovely feast enjoyed by all the family.

Good flavor and a great timesaver
I usually roast my own eggplant but I thought I would try this. Not slimy and not over flavored. I added lemon juice, garlic and tahini. I also added a little cumin because I like it in baba ghanoush. I thought it was delicious and I will buy the canned eggplant again. The hummus was OK but I will probably go back to making my own homemade hummus.
