Spectre Performance SPE-42353 42353 Complete Timing Cover Kit

This cover does the job. It's fine if you're looking to save a few bucks: however, the provided bolts seem small and are fitted with toothed lock washers, which is a bit strange and may throw off torque specs. Again, this set is OK, but I ended up taking it off and getting the Aluminum cover with larger bolts. If you're building an engine you want to keep for a while, I recommend something else. If you just want to get the job done without spending more than needed, this is a good choice.

The bolts that came with the small heads seemed a good idea at first but the bit that they sent that is supposed to be used to tighten them with did not fit, I had to clean it up a little then it barely fit. Also the bit is pretty wide so you cannot use it to retighten after putting on the waterpump and such since it will not fit in between.The cover is a little on the thin side. The gaskets are at the lower end of the spectrum. For the price however they seem OK. Do not use the bit if you want to take of the cover at some point in the future.

Over all its a nice cover, hardware is cheap and I didn't use it. but for the price it does its job

This piece comes with chrome bolts I could not use because they have a smaller head than the stock bolts. They give you a socket to fit it with the kit, but the socket was malformed and shipped that way. It was never going to fit. I gave it 3 stars because the cover is what I needed. I ended up using the stock bolts which are not chrome.

The cover itself is nice and fit well on the engine. Its great that it came with the shaft seal pre-installed and the block gasket. I was disappointed in the fasteners, the provided socket didn't fit on the head, so I used my old ones.

Covers the goods, doesn't leak either. I scuffed the inner lip that presses against the seals before adding a thin layer of synthetic oil safe sealant and gasket. Works every time.

Did not come with timing tab. Other then that it’s doing it’s job flawlessly

Easy to install and the socket that comes with it is very useful for installation. The washers are a little cheap, one split before torque spec was reached. Not a deal breaker.

Le Couvercle fait la job, mais le seal pour le crank est de qualité assez médiocre comme certains gens ont dit dans d'autre commentaires , j'ai pas pris de chance j'ai acheté un kit de seal d'un fournisseur local, et les vis 12 pans et la douille sont de très mauvaise qualité, j'ai réutilisé les ancienne vis du moteur

Great price for what you get. The cover comes with the bolts (12 point) with socket too. Also has cam seal. Well worth the money.

The socket they sent for the bolts would not even fit the bolts. No way to install this cover unless you buy other bolts or purchase a different socket. Waste of time and money... It's being returned.
