A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE OCCURS IN A BLIZZARD!
I loved this charming, christmas movie! It is a story about two feuding brothers, who are as different as night and day! One brother Pete(TOM WOPAT), who has always been loyal, and level headed, and dependable, and caring; while the other brother Ray(JOHN SCHNEIDER) is wild, and always getting into trouble, and fighting, and he is also very handsome, and he is a real charmer with the ladies! Pete is divorced, with a teenage rebellious son, and Pete is nursing a broken heart over losing his ex-girlfriend, Jesse! Jesse(Kim Delaney) is a very beautiful waitress, who fell in love with Pete's brother Ray, instead of Pete! Jesse and Ray got married! And so from then on ,Pete and Ray became feuding brothers! Meanwhile Ray and Pete, are semi truckers working for Al(Hoyt Axton), who owes a trucking company; Ray and Pete's father, was Al's business partner, and Al's best friend; so after Ray and Pete's father died, Al has helped raise and watch over Ray and Pete! Al is trying to help his boyhood hometown of Willow Creek in Alaska; Willow Creek is a dying town, that has lost their canning factory, and alot of people has lost their jobs, and no one has much money for Christmas, and for their children! So Al, decides to help the townspeople, and to bring a truckload of toys for the children of Willow Creek! Then Al gets sick, and gets Pete and Ray to drive the truckload of gifts to Willow Creek, which is a long journey, especially with Ray, and Pete, and Pete's teenage son, all going together; and then Ray visits his estranged wife Jesse, and founds out that Jesse is very pregnant, and makes her go with them to Willow Creek! A lot of amazing things happen on their long trip, but when they run into a blizzard, the most amazing thing of all happens for them! And also for the town of Willow Creek, they all learn that Christmas ,is a season of miracle's afterall! The Christmas loving spirit has returned to Willow Creek, full of promise and hope, and love! This is a sweet, heartwarming, charming story about love, and hope, and new beginnings! I highly recommend this movie, I so loved, the pretty home town of Willow Creek, with their warm friendly people! And of course, I just loved seeing John Schneider with his handsome self, he just takes your breath away, and melts your heart, with his charm, and his awesome beauty!

A good movie overall, though a little repetitive and confusing at times.
In fairness to everyone -- if you are looking for the brotherly love between Bo and Luke Duke and the guidance of Uncle Jesse in this movie, it's purposely not there. These are feuding brothers whose irritation with each other goes way back, perhaps 15-20 years. The final straw is their mutual love for the same woman. The story line is not high drama. You sort of ask yourself -- how long until the next fight or argument breaks out -- and how long until the next time one of them halts the journey to scream, pout, or walk away. High drama, no, but there is a moral to the story that I think too many people tend to miss -- these brothers need each other to complete the journey, but they do not realize it until the end of the story. Happy ending, yes. Sappy at times, yes. You want to take turns throughout the movie knocking some sense into each of the brothers and especially knocking sense into Pete's teenage son. The ending is a little odd and confusing in that those of us on the outside of the story line cannot explain how the birth of the baby happened when the place it happened at does not exist in the story. It's a nod to miracles and happy endings of Christmas movies. It's a Hallmark type of Christmas movie but the story line deals with more conflict and real-world situations than most Hallmark movies. Parents may want to preview this movie before deciding if it qualifies as a family-friendly movie.

PICTURE A LITTLE DECEPTIVE
Thinking this was one of the Hallmark movies, encouraged by the happy picture, I bought it. Additionally "Willow Creek" sounded like a friendly small town, which was appealing. It's true it had a happy ending, but it took a LOT to get there, and there was so much anger, frustration and bad feeling, none of which was explained until after the midway point, I almost bolted. The story is about two brothers who reacted very differently to an abusive, neglectful father: the handsome fellow pictured here became the irresponsible, quick to pick a fight, irregularly employed playboy; his brother was dark haired, not as handsome, determined to be a good person, both to women and to his employment, which was a trucking company originally owned by their father. They both fell in love with the same woman (pictured). She did love the dark, responsible brother, who was kind and caring, but this was not enough for her to "fall in love" with him, so she left. He married another who is no longer in the picture, with whom he had a son, on whom he played out his own experience with his dad: no acceptance, disgust, and failure to be there for him as he tried to keep the business going, not helped much by his brother. What a setup for drama and emotional explosion, eh? Add to that, girlfriend falls in love with other brother. Tinderbox!!Willow Creek, north and many, many miles from the brothers, has fallen on hard times due to the cannery closing. the town's main business, just a little before Christmas. The boss of the shipping company wants to help these people, but suffers a sudden health problem, and cannot make the delivery himself. Whom does he choose? The two brothers, thinking the responsible one will keep the quick to fight one in line, an unenviable task. (All of what I've written up to this paragraph was not revealed by thescript until more than halfway. I could not tell they were even brothers, as they looked so different from each other, and never mentioned family ties until far along.)Finally, rebellious son, two brothers, and the girlfriend (with secret in tow) pile into the big rig. There is plenty of time and incident for this family to face it's anger and upset on the long drive north, and you won't think they are going to make it.How they do make it is worth the whole movie, and they get it by exhausting their anger, facing themselves, and getting help in a snowstorm from….well, is he a shepherd, or maybe an angel? You have to decide! But through this serendipitous meeting, not only is each person brought back to be in touch with him or herself, but realizes the love they have for each other, and, the town is saved by a lucky gift!I struggled with the dysfunction, but glad to have watched it to the end. It's worth 4 stars, but I hated having to deal with a script that kept everyone's identities a mystery, so I couldn't tell who was whom. Just a few words here and there would have made a difference. But if you watch it and are not mystified, then maybe it was my own take.

Great Film
Great film with a lovely ending, I have been looking for this film for a long time and I was very pleased with it when it arrived. It's about two brother's both in love with the same women. Eldest brother went out with her first however the youngest brother ended up marrying her which caused family friction, they then separate when she becomes pregnant, because he did not want kids so she keeps it secret. Months later when he contacts her and get no reply he goes to see her and find's she's 9 months pregnant. Also the eldest brother do not get on with his son, however in the end and due to Christmas magic all turns out well

That Christmas Feeling!
What more could you want for a feel good Christmas film? The fantastic John Schneider (yum!) and the talented Kim Delany make the most of their roles and make it really enjoyable. Get out the sherry and mince pies and enjoy!

Family friendly Christmas movie
OK this is the quintessential '80s cheesy Christmas movie complete with big hair (seriously B-I-G hair!), a surprise baby and a Christmas that almost wasn't. I remember watching this on TV when I was a child and try to catch it on tv every year as part of my Christmas movie tradition. So I was excited to see Amazon had it for sale this year.A very cute (and predictable) family friendly Christmas movie!
