Pretty good, at least it's not MDF
Somewhat disappointed, many of the boards were cracked. Nothing was bad enough to compromise safety or prohibit construction. The boards were obviously split before painting as many of the cracks we're partly filled with paint. So far nothing has continued to crack over the first month of use but I don't think my 35 lb daughter is a big stress at this point. The drawers are built well enough to store extra clothing that are out of season but I wouldn't trust them with more then 20-30 lbs.Actual assembly was surprisingly easy, 30 minutes tops. Other than a cordless drill I don't recall using any other tools, you will want a drill to attach the slats for sure but make sure you set the clutch low as not to crack anything.Other than the manufacturer's acceptable cracks the bed is nice, the paint feels durable and enamel like. The only other complaint is that the drawers are independent of the bed meaning they rest directly on the floor, I get it, the bed is made for either a trundle or drawers and that is the compromise. I have a similar bed in this price point for my son with the drawers on rails but we wanted a white finish for my daughter's room and the other only comes in stained finishes. When looking for a real wood bed with drawers choices are very limited and when you throw the desire for a certain color into the mix you become even more limited. It's a 3-3.5 star compromise to fill all our wants with minor annoyances.

CRAZY HUGE BOTTOM DRAWERS!
The bottom drawers THANKFULLY are not on a track that can break but on wheels ON the floor! This makes is possible for 2 MONSTER HUGE drawers which is what UNDER the bed storage is all about! Hubby was able to put it together while we were out so it took him less than an hour and a 1/2 from actual UNPACKING to assembling to throwing packaging away. He was sitting down watching TV when we got home so it may have taken him less time, I didn't ask! My 22 year old LOVES it and she didn't want a headboard but I talked her into the structural support a headboard would give and she is glad she did!

Broke within three weeks - UPDATE, company sent replacement part
This bed seemed like exactly what we needed. I ordered it because in addition to its design, it's made of hardwood rather than MDF. It was easy to assemble and felt solid. But yesterday my son sat down on the edge of the bed and the ledge that holds the slats that hold the mattress broke and collapsed, making the bed unusable. (That piece was installed by the factory, not by us.) There has been no rough activity on this bed to cause this failure. I have written to the company on their website; let's see how they respond. Meanwhile, I'm glad we have another bed for my son to sleep in.UPDATE: The company (Atlantic Furniture) sent a replacement part after I documented the problem with photos. It arrived in less than a week and was easy to install. The bed is fine now. We'll see how well it lasts but I'm satisfied with the customer service. I have added a star to the review (was 3 stars, now 4). The part could be constructed more solidly (for instance, the ledge piece could be wider, making it less likely to break) but if it works, it works.

The side slats and one of the slats broke - bed cannot be used anymore.
Hi,It is wood and I thought this would be good .. but one of the slats broke and one of the rails holding the slats also broke. If I see the wood where it broke, it clearly shows that that piece itself was never strong and should not have been used. Poor manufacturing quality. There is no phone number provided on their website to contact the customer support. The only way is to mail them through their 'contact us' page. I did that couple times in last 2 months since the bed became unusable. I am ready to pay for the slats if need be, they have never replied my email. Luckily I have a guestroom, where my son is sleeping.I would never recommend this product to anyone, just because of their poor customer support.

Classic design, well made, beautiful bed
This bed! I was a tiny bit leery when ordering because there were some less than stellar reviews. Also, most of the pictures I saw were twin beds for children so I had a fear that it might look a bit juvenile. Not the case. We ordered a king in white and it is just gorgeous. Nothing is cracked, the paint is beautiful. The bed is a solid as can be and the support beams leave me with zero fear that this bed is going to fall. The storage drawers are huge as everyone has said. We ordered a 90 pound Layla hybrid mattress and the fit is perfect. A couple of extras that we didn’t expect; a USB port that you can attach to the bed, very handy. Also it has a pillow rest I think they call it so that your pillows do not get caught up underneath the headboard. We really could not be happier.

Lovely bed with too many modifications
The rails do not fit into the bed frame in 3 legs. The headboard was easily fixed with a jigsaw opening up the slot by a half in more on each one. The footboard on the left had to have an extra support since the rail does not fit in all the way. I love the bed now but you should not have to get your woodworking tools out for something that should just slide together.

Good for a tween bedroom
Ordered bed for my 10 year old daughter. She has a small room so loved the drawers under bed for extra storage. Quality is good for a out of the box bed. I know I will probably be getting another bed for her in 4-5 years so this one I think will be perfect. Note - we have hard wood floors. Drawers work good but if you have thick carpet they probably won’t open as easily.
