Good design
I bought this hoping to attract more birds, but the squirrels have been my only takers. I'm thinking it's the area I live in and the fact that there are plenty of berries and seeds to keep the locals well fed. I own two Droll Yankee feeders and believe me, all of their items are researched, and well constructed. The price was right, and who knows? I'll keep hanging more fruit...maybe one of these days I'll look out and see a bird perched on the feeder!

Holds Fruit Well
It's well made, attractive, and held the orange well. Unfortunately we had no birds come to it, so we took it down. But the price was low enough to find out. It is not the fault of the feeder, it's just that obviously we don't have the kind of birds around here who like fruit. This is a good starter-feeder for fruit, because the low price permits you to experiment with fruit. If we had fruit-loving birds around here, I feel sure that they would eat from this feeder.

Fruit Feeder for Oriole Birds
I bought this fruit feeder before spring in hopes the orioles in Southern California will like the fresh oranges. Not one oriole (or any other bird) visits the feeder. I replace the fruit daily,Perhaps the orioles in my part of the country do not appreciate fresh fruit but they do love the sugar nectar.

and seems like it'll last forever
Super-simple, and seems like it'll last forever. I haven't seen birds on it, yet, so I'm not sure where they will perch... probably in the middle loop part, but it looks great, and I imagine they'll love it.
