The magnet could be a tiny bit stronger, but with this low price, just double up the amount you'd think you might use and it should attach most reasonably weighted items. It won't be holding bricks to a steel ceiling, but no one should expect that.

We have a garage door with decorative strips held on by magnet tape. After about 15 years the tape started to demagnetize and pieces came loose and fell. We couldn't find the 6" wide magnetic tape the installers used anywhere, so we gave this a try. The decorative strips have three ridges running their length that's the same width as the 3M magnetic tape. I think it's not a coincidence. This tape's magnets although less surface area than the original 6" wide tape is stronger. It's holding the pieces in place very well. If others have a similar use for this product, know that the 3M tape is thicker than the 6" wide tape the garage door installers use. If you replace only one section, the adjoining decorative strips will be slightly out more than the others. It's not that noticeable, but for best aesthetics you can apply the thicker 3M tape to all adjoining pieces.

Used on a glass shower door. Holds the door shut very well. In fact maybe a little too strong. I applied full length of door so I'm going to take about a foot off so door is easier for kids to open.

Very nice product used within weatherstripping to magnify to steel door worked very well. Good product would recommend would buy again.

This product is so easy to use! I work from home watching kiddos and making crafts is something we love. This is easy to cut and apply when needed!

I used these rolls for a metal door. No locks just handles, Cool door but needs magnetic strips (manufacturer suggestion) to keep door closed. The adhesive is strong but the magnets very weak. My 10 year old cat can push it open without much effort. I ran the magnetic tape around the entire edge, used both rolls.

Absolutely horrible.I have used similar products in the past with great success. These - the stick on backing is great! However, the magnet is so weak it wouldn't even hold a photo on the refrigerator! Yep, when I couldn't get it to work for the designated purpose I tried to hold a picture on the refrigerator with ZERO luck! REALLY! That is amazing!I debated between 2 stars and 1 star but opted for the latter as the magnet is kind of an important thing when you buy a magnet ... and if the magnet doesn't work then the adhesive working really well means very little.Sorry, maybe a bad lot.FYI - I did NOT reach out to the company nor ask for a return as I had cut a portion off to use and, as far as I was concerned, used the product to the point a return would be wrong. However, I truly believe the item is unusable whether it just be an odd one I recieved or the normal from the company. Few other complaints but my were ... well ... utterly worthless!

Using as magnetic zippers, and works great!
