The Energy Stick is the newest tool in experimenting with open and closed circuits. Completely safe to touch and handle, the Energy Stick features electrodes on each end of its 7.5″ long tube. When these electrodes are touched simultaneously, long-lasting LED lights inside the tube flash and the tube makes a noise. Release one of the electrodes and the flashing lights and noise stop. Do it over and over… it works every time!

It stopped working and there’s no way to put a battery in it. It’s a disposable toy.
Fun at first but you will be disappointed when it dies

My classroom loves it
Really useful to call the kids attention

Nice educational toy
It’s quick and easy to demonstrate conductivity. It’s pretty durable, but batteries not replaceable, so it’s not a toy the child keeps , as an educational supplement it ok , but they should make it with replacement batteries…. Kind of wasteful , but an ok product otherwise.

Great but makes a lot of noise
Great but it makes a lot of noise and gets really old to have to listen to

Demonstrates Conductivity and is Engaging for About 10 Minutes or Less
Summary'Energy Stick' is an 'educational toy' (whatever that is) meant to demonstrate a circuit. Very little educational value if you consider the fact that there is only one aspect of a circuit that is being taught here - conductivity. This lesson is really for young kids who have no prior exposure to electricity or circuits. How it WorksTo complete the circuit, all you need to do is hold the metal ends of the 'stick'. The stick then lights up and emits a sound to let you know the circuit is complete.Educational ValueThere are a few ways to teach kids about circuits. You can build a circuit very easily through the potato method, or by creating a circuit through connecting a battery to a small light bulb, or by purchasing an electronics kit to demonstrate how circuits work. When you purchase an electronics kit, you can potentially teach kids about different kinds of circuits such as parallel or series circuits, etc. With this Energy Stick, you can only teach 1 type of circuit - but it's not clear how it works unless you can take the stick apart. The only lesson the Energy Stick really teaches is the conductivity of other materials. In other words, you can have a human chain that completes the circuit where the energy stick is held by one person who is holding hands with another and so on and so forth to complete the circuit. It's pretty amazing but it works. You can also see that copper wires, aluminum and conducting metals are also conductors. You can see that wood and paper are not conductors. Even water is conductor which can be demonstrated by having some stick their finger in water and another person doing the same to complete the circuit. All of this is fine and good, and a tactile learning experience, good for about... 3 minutes. As a toy... good for about 10 minutes. Can you learn this lesson elsewhere? Yes.Can you learn this lesson for free on YouTube? Yes.Can you see kids demonstrating the lessons of conductors by watching YouTube videos that review this product? Yes.

Was open
Disapointed: Product was open and may have been used. Maybe send another that is not open and used? Not nearly as bright lights as pictured.I liked the same day delivery.

poor quality, waste of money and environment
I bought this as a little mad moment before Christmas and I regretted the purchase straight away. it is a poor quality plastic toy with very annoying noise. the battery lasted few days and kids got disinterested very quickly. I won't even go to the impact on the environment. I wish i never bought this and urge others to think before buying a one-use toys.

Not so energising
This was a very expensive item. I bought 2 as presents for brother and sister. One fell on a thick, carpeted floor and stopped working. The one working was fun for about 10 minutes, but then the kids lost complete interest. Not particularly educational. Once you've explained and given it a go, the novelty soon wears off. Plus, it is shipped from the US for the environmentally aware.

Packaging of a discount shelf
Arrived with damaged packaging as if it had been opened & then clumsily cello taped back together. If this was in a shop, it would’ve been on the discount shelf. Not the kind of gift I had in mind!

Only fit for the bin. Dirty and damaged
Not new. Very damaged packaging. Dirty, bent, stuck together with sellotape. Unbelievable that someone thinks its ok to sell things in such a deplorable state. It looks like its been kicking around the floor of a dirty warehouse for a decade. Was meant for a gift, its just fit for the bin. Buyer beware!

Cheap and not cheerful. Broke within an hour
This was just a diving filler and was very hit and miss, couldn't get it to work. When it did only 2 of the 3 LEDs lit up after about fifteen minutes of play just stopped working altogether. So overall very disappointed
