Super high fibre pasta.
I was tipped off to this wonderful pasta by Tim Spector, professor of epidemiology at King's College London, through one of his videos on Instagram. In this video, Professor Spector compares three different pastas for their fibre content, starting with ordinary white pasta containing only about 1g fibre per 100g, then supermarket bought wholegrain pasta with about 3 or 4g fibre per 100g, and finally the Biona Wholegrain Spelt Fusilli with a whopping 11g fibre per 100g.As the medical profession gains more understanding of the importance of our gut microbiome, it is highlighting the importance of fibre in our diet in supporting the good microbes in our guts.
