Cute horseshoe frame but I bought it for a 50th anniversary gift thinking it was gold and its not. Completely silver. Picture hue is off

So, I was in a pinch for purchasing gifts for my Bridesmaids. Despite the 2 stars and terrible reviews on the frames, I wanted to see in person how difficult it would be to get a photo on the frame. When I opened the package, I thought that I was going to have to return them. I could not get the mint julep paper out like the other reviewers. Then my fiance gave it a whirl, and boom, it worked! He slide the GLASS piece of the frame and it came right out. So the paper part actually doesn't move, like the other reviewers and I discovered. However, just slide the glass and there you have it. Its a great frame and I am excited to give them as part of a gift for our Kentucky wedding!

Cute design. Not the greatest quality. Glass doesn't line up with the top of the frame.

I had the same problem as another reviewer. I got this to put a picture in it. When I got it out of the box excited to put the picture in it, I was perplexed in how to get the picture in there. It comes with a recipe for Mint Julip so I thought maybe I misunderstood the product as a picture frame and really it is just a horse shoe displaying the recipe.I did end up carefully pulling the back off by putting a knife between the front and back and prying it just enough to get the recipe paper out, cut picture to its size and slide it back in. It was definitely a struggle and the picture doesn't sit in it as nicely as I would like but I'm lucky I even got the picture inside the frame. Very odd product.

Great product, got it in silver but also would like brass. It’s a bit open (wider in depth) at the top, but doesn’t bother me;~)

This was a very nice product for the money. It was very sturdy and heavy almost like a paperweight. Very pleased with my purchase.

Amazon packaged this item really badly so it knocked against other items and arrived scratched up pretty well but on top of that, THERE WAS NO GLASS! Just a frame and the backing. I will have to end up returning it. :( So much for this xmas present.
