Gamakatsu G-Carp Specialist RX Hook, 10 Pack, Bronze, Size 2

I carp fish about once I week. Needless to say I've caught so many I cannot even tell you how many. It's very common to have hooks straightened with these fish. Frustrating Especially because I use quality gear. Well getting back to gamakatsu hooks... they are absolutely amazing! I've caught dozens of fish since getting these gamakatsu carp hooks ( most over 15 lbs) and I'm still using the same hooks I originally took out of the package. I've just re stringed them. Still razor sharp, still in awesome shape. Pretty amazing.

Had carp bending hooks last season. So I bought some size 6 game carp special hooks. They work great. Super sharp and the fish practically set themselves all the time. Hooks are heavier gauge wire and stand up to big carp yanks. I landed so many big fish on these hooks last year. It was a complete game changer and never had a carp bend a hook straight after I started using these.

I carp fish @ a pay lake and I will tell you, this is by far the best hook I have ever purchased. This is a dangerous hook as it is so sharp, you are likely to get "stuck" by it more than once. I snell my own hooks & you have to be really cautious. Not only is this hook sharp, this hook is very strong and would take a great deal to bend this hook. As a matter of fact, I have yet to bend one & I have been caught on various rocks, etc. in the pond. I will never use another hook.

These are ridiculously sharp, and ridiculously strong!We fish for common carp in western PA and the size 2s seem to be perfect for the size carp we've been catching.The micro barb keeps them from shaking the hook, but they're super easy to release. They stay sharp for a while and do not bend.So far they've held up to a 25lb carp and a 15lb channel catfish! (Sorry for the crappy photos)

Sharpening every hook is 'absolutely mandatory (even these) but, these are as close to perfect out of the package as I’ve seen. If your not going to sharpen your hooks these will still get it done. Knotless-knot hangs these hooks at just the right angle on your hair rig and dramatically reduce your misses. Also, these are heavy duty and won’t bend. Amazed at how a hook the size of my thumbnail can pull in 20+ pound fish. Caught a 29 pound blue cat on one of these once and it horsed him in with no issues. Ordering more as soon as I’m done typing this.

These are very sharp. I've used Gamakatsu circle hooks from the local big box store and these carp hooks seem sharper than those. I caught a 12 and a 14 pound carp on my first outing with these hooks. They seem very durable

I got a hookup 7 out of 7 times my first day using. Easy to remove, but holds the fish just enough. I did have one come off the hook while fighting it but if my line was tighter maybe it wouldn't have. Scary sharp out of the package, they look very strong. I have not had any bending either.

I've been using them and have gotten snagged a couple times, and the amount of force you have to pull with to bend these hooks is pretty impressive. I've gotten a catfish on already without knowing it was there or setting the hook so they're evidently pretty sharp out of the bag. I'd like to say I've caught carp with them but I can't yet, which is not the fault of these hooks.

Great hooks if you’re targeting big carp. They’re sticky sharp, and stay that way.

Great hooks. For carp fishing I expected a little more sharp hook but these will do alright. They are quite thick and strong, I caught a 4ft sturgeon with one and it didn't bend or break.
