Tastes great - good price for volume

I was about to add a different brand of macadamia nuts (3 lb bag) to my cart and then saw this 3 lb bag and thought this one looked better (or maybe read something that seemed better about it) - whatever the reason, I bought these. They arrived, the bag has an "easy open" tab to pull which should rip off the top leaving the bag open and with a Ziploc type of seal, which is a great idea, but when I ripped the tab it messed up and opened the bag in a weird way which left the nuts exposed. But that's a minor issue - I was going to just dump them into a Ziploc bag. BUT - I could smell a bad smell, then I tasted them, and they were RANCID!!! They smell (and taste) like the floor of a garage, with like an almost oily/gasoline type smell! PLUS - I didn't expect all whole nuts, but almost all of it is halves and pieces, and not only that, but halves and pieces of SMALL nuts, not larger ones that seem to be normal from other brands. I just bought the other brand that I was originally going to buy and they just arrived and they are almost all whole nuts, taste great, clean, bag opened fine, etc. Of all the problems with this product I could have lived with ANY of them EXCEPT THAT THESE ARE NOT EVEN EDIBLE!!! AND AMAZON WON'T LET ME RETURN THESE EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE "PRIME"!!! TERRIBLE!!! After this review I'm complaining to Amazon's customer service immediately!!!!

I wasn’t sure I’d like raw macadamia nuts. I bought them for visitors I knew liked all kinds of nuts. We like them. The bag is generous so I keep them in the freezer and take out a cup or so at a time. Very crunchy.

the taste was bad and stale from the start it was openeD BOUGHT IN MAY 2023, 2 LBS. , SAID WILL EXPIRE IN YEAR 2025, BUT WAS OPENED IN JUNE 2023, AFTER FINISHING ANOTHER FROM DIFFERENT COMPANY.NEED A REFUND! BAG WAS THROWN AWAY.Update:After my negative review, the seller refunded my order. These people are determined to stand by their product and I will definitely give them another chance.

The macadamia nuts were supposed to be whole. There were more broken than whole nuts . And some of the broken ones tasted almost rancid as if they were put together from different packages.

Delicious. A few whole nuts but more halves and pieces in case that matters to you.

I have purchased a large variety of dried fruits and nuts from Nut Cravings and thus far, these macadamia nuts are the only thing I haven't liked that I've purchased from them.The nuts are small, about the size of a peanut, and mostly fragmented. Many of them taste really bad, like they were either over roasted or maybe premature. They just didn't have the crisp texture or macadamia flavor I love about normal macadamia nuts.The photo provided shows the nuts I received from Nut Cravings (lower portion of photo) compared to those from the self serve bins at Safeway (upper portion of photo). You be the judge.

The package came on time. The nuts test very fresh and delicious!
