Can other output tubes be used that are compatible with el34's, such as 6550's, kt66's, kt77's? also, is the output 25wpc or 35wpc? both are noted.

kt66 is ok. is the output 25wpc or 35wpc?--25wpc

Can tape input be used to connect external phonostage?

This amp does not have a phono pre-amp circuit. You can run the output from an external phono pre-amp into the tape input...

Has anyone paired this amp with the kef ls50’s? i’m wondering if this amp has sufficient power for those speakers.

I think you should be absolutely fine! I run my LS50s with EL34 tubes from my PrimaLuna integrated amp and it’s LOUD! I have also played my LS with a tiny 12watt EL84 amp I use for my bedroom.... Unless you plan on serious rock volume you should be just fine with this amp for a long while. 20+ “tube watts” are like 75 solid state watts due to the high current tube apps provide. Go for it
