The Complete Summer Cookbook: Beat the Heat with 500 Recipes that Make the Most of Summer's Bounty (The Complete ATK Cookbook Series)

Book has very nice recipes and beautiful photos, but the binding is broke in back third of book. The pages have fallen out and made a mess. I would have returned this book, but discarded the packing envelope. With a Coronavirus stay at home restrictions in effect, just decided to keep it.

I LOVE the recipes and the chapters/categories they included. But I am really bummed that already part of the book's pages are coming out. I had seen a review about the binding before I ordered this and hoped the other reviewer's experience was an anomaly. I guess I'll have to return and not replace and look for another ATK book that has similar recipes but better binding.EDITED: So I decided to keep the book. The recipes are so good and fun for summer - I’ve made the fried chicken, grilled chicken, some salads, ice cream cake and margaritas. Binding is still an issue, but it’s worth it for me, I decided. So many more recipes to try. I’ll change from 3 stars to 4.

So this product is receiving 3 stars and not on behalf of Americas’s Test Kitchen. The contents itself are great, I purchased in July of 2020 and cooked my way through a good amount of the book. My family was a fan of nearly every recipe if not all. The soft cover binding has always been an issue for me with ATK as eventually the pages will indeed fall out regardless of how you store your books. That aside, I would have given five stars if the book cover didn’t arrive being printed upside down and backward. For real. Because anyone who is slightly OCD could loose their damn mind, which clearly I am as I contemplated returning on several occasions due to solely that issue alone.

The binding is broken and falling apart & the return window elapsed 11 days ago. The pages are falling out of the book. This is inexcusable in a brand new book.

Review of Kindle version. It is almost completely unusable. Crashes across all the android devices I tried, especially when trying hyperlinks. Had to return it.

We have already tried several recipes from this cookbook (the coleslaw one three times), each has hit the mark. My wife and I have flagged several to try in the near future that work with her allergies without modification. Great cookbook.The only downside is the cover strength and binding. The cover is curling already and the binding is showing signs of stress. Note to the publisher -- expect people to use this cookbook a lot and make sure it holds up.\.

You can never go wrong with their cookbooks; they take the hit and miss out of a recipe. This cookbook looks at how to enjoy all the tastes of summer and make the most of the fresh vegetables and fruits abundant in the warmer months.

I have many cookbooks, am a Barefoot Contessa fan & have been cooking for over 40 years of adult life. But I'm always looking for "fresh" ideas & new ways of putting together a healthy & seasonal meal. I love this cookbook! The pictures and clear instructions with "fresh" ingredients inspire me to put together some delicious summer meals. It provides options for the BBQ, for no cook, for preserving summer's bounty and more. In the few weeks I've had it, I've tried the Green Goddess chicken, the orange & tarragon chicken, the tomato-corn salad with fresh herbs, and, the green bean-tomato-feta salad... All were winners! (BTW- I also ordered the Mediterranean Cookbook by American test kitchen - just as impressed!)And, every time I picked up this book, I thought of my gardener friend and her trips to local farmer's markets... so I sent one to her too.

Every recipe tried (+ 30 so far) was spot on as described... Very informative and accurate information included with each recipe.

The recipes are great, however, the book fell apart the first time I opened it.
