Desert Gardens Red Chile Enchilada Sauce Mix (Pack of 4)

I used this product for enchiladas and everybody loved it. They were the best I have ever made. It does have spice to it, so if you don't like spicy I would not get this. But if you like some spice, no hesitation to use this sauce mix. Very easy to make, just add water and bring to a boil.

I'm surprised by all the positive reviews. All I can think of is these folks have never had authentic red chile sauce before. The main ingredient is paprika, which is not red chile, and there's no red chile in the ingredients at all. I'm baffled.

I LOVE New Mexico Chile enchilada sauce but haven’t been able to find a good one to make at home. This one is AMAZING! A little spice to it, but not what I would call “hot”.Easy to prepare, mix with 16 ounces cold water on the stove top.The first time I made it, it was a little too thin, so the second time I made it, I added approximately a teaspoon of flour when I first starting cooking it & it was perfect!Everything I have tried from Desert Gardens has been amazing!

A bit too hot for me but good flavor.

I originally bought this at a gift store in Salida, CO. Then found them here on Amazon. All I have to say that this is easy to make. You just add 2 cups of cold water and with a whisk you heat it up. You can put this on any Mexican dish to breakfast burritos. Enjoy!

We used this packet to make enchiladas and it was a big hit! I have also bought their posole mix and had Mexican friends tell me it was excellent. I'll buy more, for sure!
