RUST-OLEUM 130231 Clear Satin Floor Finish, 1 Count (Pack of 1), 12 Fl Oz

Durable easy to apply. Used both lamb skin and varathanes applicator and prefer varathane one. Smells pretty bad for a ling time. Did my house about 5 weeks ago and the smell is just now about gone. Note also to DIYers. We were doing old floors and we did 3 coats with 5 days dry time on last coat and heat cranked up a little so it would dry faster. Rented an orbital sander from home depot with 120 grit paper and went over everything before adding one final coat cleaning and damp mopping before. The finish came out excellent. I'm very happy with the finish it looks like I hired a pro. Also I used the first 2 coats semigloss and changed to satin as the semi was too wet looking and shinny. The satin finish was perfect. We did used a lot but I did fairly thick coats as I has old floors house was vacant and I had time to wait. Hope this helps others :)

Disastrous! I have used Varathane products for over 40 years and am a big fan. However with this stuff I could not maintain a wet edge. I was stupid enough to struggle through a coat (lambs wool 10") which when dry had to be re-sanded over the entire floor. In addition to the ridges, there were bits of stuff from the paint which left dimples everywhere as if I had painted over fine sand. I purchased another gal of what looked like the same stuff from Home Depot. Visually the label looked identical but was slightly different. For example, the directions on the HD can said overcoat in 12 hours. The Amazon can said overcoat in 4 hours. The HD can spread like glass without any problem. Bad batch, change in formulation? Don't know - just suggesting caution.

Great product, good color, easy to use!!!! We covered 1500 square feet with 3 gallons per coat. We have original 1944 oak floors, they were in Horrible shape and required a drum sander to remove 1/8" from the surface to bring then back to life... DAYS of sanding (not as quick as the youtube videos made it out to be...) we wanted to ensure we had a good product to cover our hard work and this product has held up well. We are 3 months into having it on the floor and it has a wonderful color pop to the wood! (photos attached.)

Great stuff. I wanted semi-gloss to go with the hallway floors, but it wasn’t available. With satin on two bedroom floors that meet the semi-gloss in the hallway, it looks seamless. It is a beautiful clear coat so my stain color shines through. It was super easy to apply and dried within a couple of hours so I could decorate the rooms, which is the fun part after all that work sanding, staining, and sealing. It’s been on for 4 months now and in a tween and teen rooms and it still looks flawless. I recommend it highly.

This is a great product.Amazon will not sell it in Ohio due to state regulations regarding oil based products.Bought it elsewhere. Easy and smooth to apply.

I only just purchased it so I cannot speak for its durability. However, it applied smoothly and covered well, I like it.

I put 4 coats of this stuff on my living room and dining room floor. It's easy to apply, dries fast, and dries hard. Love it.

REFINISHED A BEDROOM FLOOR FOR A SEWING ROOM. FINISH WENT DOWN EASILY AND LOOKS GREAT!!
