LOVED IT, but it didn't work.
I have had the smaller version (9 cans) of this cooler for over 5 years. Wanted to upgrade to a larger size so purchased this Koolatron Fridge. When it was delivered plugged it in and it didn't work. Called Koolatron and they were no help, but AMAZON was great, just filled out the online form and before I could call Amazon, another was overnight shipped to me.. it was GREAT. Thanks Amazon. Love the customer service and online forms. Will continue to buy merchandise from them. Will continue to tell friends and family how good the service is.

Great Product
Am in Africa with military so was wooried about shipping and some of the negative comments. Received in about 1 week in great condition, Side decals have red/round Coke logo and door has lots of coke logo's on it so not as pictured but looks good. Actually beter than what is shown. I read directions (said nothing about precooling, start run for awhile unplug and start again as some have written) and plugged in Power supply does get warm but not hot) and came right on. I live in small room so was concerned about reports about brightness of lights, noise, heat etc. Lights seem normal low like are on desk clock, etc. Have not noticed at all. I have not noticed noise at all and have not placed on wisper yet. It does keep cola, water, etc about 30deg below what ever room temp is. Blue interior light really adds to looks. For me it was a great value for the money. If your looking for a high end piece for a fancy pool room this is not it, but for dorms, offices, kids rooms, etc it is great. Comes with 12V adapter so do not order extra. I have only written about 3 reviews in my life that is how pleased I am with what the product is for the price.

Dear Amazon....
...I'm at a loss as to why you keep allowing this item to be sold on Amazon! I love shopping Amazon and have a great deal of respect for you but...when you see how many people have had these things quit working after such a short time! When more than twice as many people give this 1 star than give it 5 something is very wrong! Allowing this product to be sold is soiling your reputation! Not only is the product still being sold but the price is rising as well. As a loyal Amazon customer I would hope you would be watching out for me a little better than this.I'm another who was taken by this product, although most had longer use than I did! It worked great for a couple months but then I noticed it wasn't keeping things as cold, then it started flashing and went totally out! I would feel even worse about this if I had payed the price they're asking now, I only had to pay $119.00 for mine. Sure is neat looking...but that's all it's good for now! This thing should be recalled since so many have been ripped off!If you buy this you will be sorry...kiss your money good bye! Unless you're into decorations! Still it's an expensive decoration.**************************************UPDATE*********************************I have tried two different 12 volt power supply's and it appears to run for a minute or two then it burns up the power supply's...now I'm out an additional $40.00....I'm really bummed about this product!

less bling more function
why i bought it: general purpose drink cooler for beer and sodaspackaging: light weight box, shipping foam on top and bottom, in plasticwhats in the box: the koolatron, 1 car adapter, 1 ac to dc power brick, instructions for usefirst thoughts: the fridge is as awesome as pictured, full coke logos on the sides, COKE printed on the glass door, brilliant red plastic casing, awesome front door screen printing,Instruction Oddities: the koolatron has two operating modes Normal and Mute witch require manual switching, per the directions you must clean the back fan ducts once a month to prevent burnout as there is a large air intake in the back. the internal circulation vents cannot be blocked, therefore its not possible to cool unit with as many cans as pictured. light up buttons as mentioned fail to mention that whats used for the lighting are actually insanely bright blue led's. 6 inch 180 rear clearance required for air circ AND the dc power brick must be ventilated. max cooling potential is listed as 8C but room temperature is a factor.USE:plug in the machine and the fans kick on with a nice little roar. In normal operation mode the unit is loud. will take 8 hours to cool to nominal temp in normal mode operation. for my unit this is 11C to 13C as my room can be high in humidity and around 70 to 75. once the unit gets to the designated temp- flip the switch in the back to "mute mode" mute mode will hold the temp of the unit as best as possible- operation in this mode is "whisper quiet". so far for cooling the unit keeps my sodas and beer chilled but not exactly "frosty"USE ODDITIES:1, the ac to dc power adapter is about the size of a brick and it gets extremely hot in "normal operation" mode, no really it get hot enough where you cant hold on to it for long so the adapter must be kept off the ground and away from anything that could catch fire, my koolatron lives on a craftsman rolling tool cart, so the adapter basically gets to sit on a steel plate with tons of airspace around it. In Mute mode, the power brick cools down considerably but is very warm to the touch2, In both mute mode and Normal mode the unit constantly cycles in order to keep the temp down.3. cant stand up a long neck beer with the shelf installed, so either you have to not use the shelf, or use cans only,or lay the beer on its side.DO I LIKE:i think the unit is ok, its got amazing looks but they need to improve the cooling spec as the repetitive cycling is excessive and the ac adapter needs a rework.also the blue LEDS in the front are annoying at night as they light up the entire room if not coverd

It's cool, but not super-cold
I tested out 2 of these, and both may have gotten down to about 38 degrees Fahrenheit (in a 70 degree room). Really can't complain too much...the manual says it'll go down to 36 degrees. I haven't tested out it's warming capabilities though. It's not bad for a 40 watt cooling machine...I was just kinda hoping it would go down to about 32 or 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually within a 2 day use the cooling vent will start to freeze up a little - so I turn the machine off for about 30 minutes to defrost it (no big deal). What won me over is it's looks & features - window door, digital display, inside light, and size & design. On the both that I tested the digital display goes a little haywire sometimes, but then usually corrects itself.
