We had purchased this cable to use between our phone and projector to stream movies. plugged my iPad to the TV and the picture was very clear very impressive quality I would recommend it for people that travel you can plug it into the hotel Television sets while you’re connected on Wi-Fi on your phone everything you see on the phone you see on TV you can connect to Netflix or YouTube and once you go full screen on the phone it will be a bigger picture. When home and not traveling we can use this cable to connect to our backyard movie projection.

Handy way to show your phone content to TV. Only thing is that you gotta plug in USB for power. It'd be better if there's no this extra step.

Its total bs to say it works with the s9. It keeps saying I need a hotspot what the hell does a cord have to do with a flipping hotspot. It works well with my google phone but for some damn reason u hook it to an s9 and all of a sudden u need a mobile hotspot. My google phone doest have one and neither does my samsung. This adapter requires that you download their App in order to function, which ok, well, I was looking for a hardware only solution. The App was cumbersome to get working, it requires that you put the phone in Developer mode and set up the correct parameters on USB debugging. The App typically worked for a couple of minutes and then failed. It also only worked in Portrait mode, the second that you turn your phone on its side, it failed. So as is, it is practically unusable.In my case, I was using Motorola E5 with the latest Android OS. I have not tested with iPhone or Samsung yet to see if the results are any different. But I will update this post if I do.

What a shame. I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I'll be completely honest with my experience. I have a Samsung S9+ and my wife has an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It did not work with my Samsung, at all. I tried downloading the app recommended but it seems very poorly developed and I don't trust it, to be honest. My wife's iPhone worked perfectly. At least the first few attempts. It no longer mirrors the phone after plugging the cable. I wouldn't recommend it.
