You can apply it directly to the skin, it already comes in mixed with a carrier oil. I don't think it will work for diffuser because of that but it's perfect for rubbing in back, chest and feet sole. I used it on my 6 year old when he had a really bad a cough and i feel like it did helped him to get over it faster. The scent is not too strong and it absorbs well into the skin

This worked really well for me. I suffer chronic bronchitis, and this helped me sleep so much better. It eased my cough drastically. It said to place on chest, and back. I also put it up to my nose and inhaled a few minutes. Great product.

I use this at night to help with congestion, and it works well in my humidifier. Love it will buy again.
