Will this work for squirrels?

I guess it could work for squirrels depending on how many you plan to shoot. If they were smaller maybe 3 or 4 would fit in the back pouch and maybe one each in the side pockets .

Would this work for pheasants as well? Or is it to small?

You might be able to fit one in each pouch head first. It might be tight.
