Is this a genuine benefit mascara ? (Asking as I've purchased one before and it was clearly a fake) also why does it need a battery?🤣

I think it’s real, although have to say it goes on rather thick. Whereas my previous from Jet2 didn’t. On that note if it is fake it is good. A little confused as to batteries, it’s a mascara ??🤣🤦♀️
