Using the Quicktionary 2 Premium is simple--just scan the text you want to translate by moving the optical scanning head over the printed text, as if you are highlighting it. The Quicktionary 2 Premium can recognize a wide range of font types and sizes (from 6-22 points, up to 8mm), as well as various color schemes, including inverted text on colored backgrounds (with the exceptions of red on white, white on red, blue on black, and black on blue.)

After scanning, the LCD displays both the scanned text and the word by word translation. This process takes mere seconds and is faster than searching through a paper dictionary or typing it into electronic ones. Now, instead of getting distracted by words you don't know and spending time looking them up, you can stay focused on your reading.

Quicktionary 2 Premium Translates Words, Idioms, and Phrases--and Pronounces Them Too!
The Quicktionary 2 Premium is smart enough to translate not just individual words, but also phrases and idioms. It identifies inflected words and displays their corresponding entries. A built-in speaker can read the scanned English text aloud, and the scanner also features an earphone socket for private listening.

The Premium Chinese version of the Quicktionary 2 can recognize both English and Chinese Simplified text, letting you translate in both directions. A unique algorithm divides the Chinese Simplified strings into their corresponding word segments, giving you an accurate translation.

Scan and Store Text
In addition to translating, the Quicktionary 2 also functions as a dedicated text scanner allowing you to scan up to 500 pages of text at 400 DPI, store it on your pen, and transfer it to any Windows-based application on your PC, PDA, or Smartphone. The Quicktionary 2 Premium has both USB and IrDA connectivity.

The Quicktionary 2 Premium Chinese is designed to look and be held like a pen. As small and portable as a typical pen, it measures just 6.4 x 1.5 x 1-inches (WxHxD) and weighs three ounces without batteries. The Quicktionary 2 Premium supports both right-handed and left-handed use. A directional keypad makes navigation easy, and the LCD has a resolution of 122 x 32 pixels so you can clearly see information. A smart shut-off feature automatically powers it down when it's not in use to preserve battery life.

Add More Languages to the Scanner
In addition to Chinese Simplified, which is built-in, you can add additional dictionaries to the Quicktionary 2 Premium. Just add or delete from over 25 language dictionaries included on a CD.
