Visual Literacy text lacks resource support
Disappointed to discover the the links to the full color PDFs no longer are supported by the author and/or publisher. I called the publisher, because I bought this title to support a unit on infographics with middle schoolers, and I couldn't access the website listed in the text and on their author page. They said they'd fix it, and they did: they took down the link. So...if you want the digital resources promised, you'll have to scan them into the copier and make PDFs yourself. That would work great, except that I bought the Kindle version and you can't do that work around. I tried taking screen shots, but they're blurry. So, I'll just have to reinvent the wheel with the support of the text. All that being said, still a great resource for teaching students visual literacy.

Couldn't put it down!
Very well written and interesting book! I bought this book as a textbook for an online class I'm taking to get my masters. The first week of class we were only assigned to read one chapter and I ended up reading the whole book because it was so well written and interesting!

Visual Learning At It’s Best
I See What You Mean provides visual ways students can process and demonstrate their learning. The relationship between writing and graphics is emphasized.

Eye Opening (Pun intended!)
A terrific resource for teachers of any subject for the explicit teaching of visual literacy. I found the use of visual literacy texts for scaffolding reading and writing original and compelling. The book is generous in it's use of examples from a variety of other texts and inclusion of teachers' feedback on student projects. The author writes in a clear, straightforward manner. I highly recommend this book for teachers who may not have considered visual literacy before or were unsure of how to use it in their classrooms.

Nothing new, but helpful.
Although I did not really learn anything new, it gives a new perspective on using visuals in the classroom. I would recommend the purchase. I feel it will be really helpful in providing ways for all students to communicate in the classroom; regardless of special needs or English proficiency levels.
