OK. These are "cheap" tables. We cut a hole in ours & the inside is twisted spirals of cardboard. BUT -- they do not cost much AND they are sturdy with weight on them. Why did we cut a hole in our end tables?? Well. Long story. We bought Bose Stadium speakers (back in 1973, series 901). Then we replaced them with new Bose 901's. They have Pedestals that support the speakers & the wires go up thru the pedestal into the bottom of the speakers. We have cats. They like to jump on everything. One cat weighs 12 pounds & is very athletic. We know they will use the speakers to jump from & to land on. And when we tried using the pedestal bases............the cats tipped them over! Not good! Pointy heavy speakers headed for the TV or the window or the barrister bookcase OR the cat!! You get the idea. SOOO. What to do? Need a stable base that looks good enough for the living room that the cats cannot tip over. End table. BUT wires must come up thru the table to the bottom of the speaker so .......don;t want expensive end tables. Taa Daa. Dorel Home Products Parsons End Tables. Less than $20 each. Easy to assemble, easy to circle drill through, look good, hold the speakers solidly (35 pounds) AND..........cats can run & jump & sit & groom & nothing tips over. Now........do not push these tables from the side -- they are sturdy with vertical pressure but you cannot torque them side-to-side . The legs are simple screw-ins & will not withstand being wiggled very much. For our rather unusual useage needs --they are ideal. We are very happy with this product.

First, a quick warning: Don't order this table expecting that it will actually be made out of wood - it probably isn't even particle board or compressed wood. As near as I can tell, it is made from some sort of compressed cardboard, with a faux wood laminate on the outer surfaces. That said, it is a very nice little table for the price. I paid around $17, and I recommend holding out for that price (it seems to fluctuate, but usually returns to around $17).The table is very light, but seems sturdy. The faux wood finish is nice enough that it might pass for the real thing if you weren't looking too closely. Assembly is super-easy. You get a table top with a hole on the bottom of each corner, and 4 legs, each with a big screw on top. 5 minutes tops to put it together.I have two of these, one on each side of a pair of Ikea chairs, and they are just right to hold books, your drink, or whatever else you want handy while you're relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed one.

So, this is cheap and it stands to reason that you get what you pay for. Overall it looks nice, it is pretty sturdy, and it is really simple to put together...like one step easy. However, there were a few issues that you should be aware of.1. DO NOT over-tighten legs, if you do the whole wood "coating" will rip and tear from the corners and legs.2. The table is not a solid piece of particle board. It feels like that honeycomb cardboard inside the top portion.I would have liked to see a color in between blonde and espresso but that is just personal preference. Other than that it is a cheap piece that will work for now.

Just assembled two of these tables that arrived. Thoughts:Cons: Made of plywood/relatively cheaper materials. Wood veneer.Pros:1) Very easy to set up -- seriously, I laughed when I saw the one step instructions. "Step one: Screw legs into table. Don't overtighten." That's it. One step. No tools needed. I wonder why they even bothered to number it "1".2) Sturdy -- no wobble in mine, feels like it could hold a good amount of weight.3) Very light Easy to move.4) INEXPENSIVE!!! I bought my Natural Colored Dorel Home Products Parsons End Table for $17.93 before tax!Oh...one more con: The ends of the feet are painted black so they look like felt. They aren't...they are the ends of the plywood and veneer. I worried about them scratching the hardwood, so I stuck some felt feet on it...but that was easy too. Just about 30 more seconds to your construction time: total time 3 minutes 30 seconds. =)

My table arrived slightly damaged as shown by the pictures. According to the other reviews, this is quite common, and the seller should consider different shipping and packaging methods if they take pride in their work.If you can look past the minor damage, this table can be worth it. It is definitely not made from the highest quality materials, but it is what I was looking for. It is a decent quality low height table that is sleek, simple and easy to install. The color is beautiful, it is suitable for floor seating and is of course at a low price. I purchased mine for about $40 total.In the end, I am okay with this purchase. While there are definitely better quality tables on Amazon, this one will deliver what you need if you are looking for a tea table at a very low price. If you are looking for something with longevity or does not appreciate a chance hour item may not be pristine when it arrives, look elsewhere.

This table is perfect. It's EXTREMELY lightweight and easy to move, almost weightless but sturdy enough to use as a coffee table or small desk. I wanted something like a tea table that I could work on, and this definitely does the job. It's extremely easy to put together to, literally just screw the legs in, and that's it. It doesn't take up too much space, and for the price it is beyond what I was expecting. Love this product.

I got this to use as a bedside table. The color looks exactly as it does in the picture. It's a wood veneer (sp?) but, it's a good quality and matches real natural finished wood perfectly. The legs simply screw on and they fit perfectly against the table without any gaps or wobbling. It's a solid piece - not as heavy as it would be if it were pure wood blocks but, it's a substantial piece of furniture which will hold up well. I certainly looks like I paid a lot more for it.

Was looking for something cheap to fill a space in the living room after rearranging furniture. This was sturdier and nicer than expected for the price. Easy to assemble too.
