It burns 6010s without a problem.
It is bigger than I thought it would be, it’s definitely not a toy. It has 12 gauge power cord and heavy duty cables. It welds as good as any I have used, maybe better than my miller or Lincoln. It does weld 6010 without any issues at all. I even held the rod away from the work and the rod was still burning. I tried 6010, 6011, and 7018 and all welded with no problem. It’s a little bigger and heavier than most of the little lunchbox style welders. It looks like a good quality machine. I hope it lasts.

great welder for the money
I saw mixed reviews on this welder and was a little nervous about the purchase. However, I have run the welder 220 and it preforms well. Easy arc start, lays good beads, has 80% duty cycle, I have no complaints. I would recommend this welder to anyone. I have not tried it on 110 so I cannot speak to how it preforms on that. I used 7018 rods with it and they did great.

Works great!
Works great, easy to set the heat for the right weld. Very portable and easy to use, I love the long cables that are provided to not have to move the main unit when welding things seems to give me a lot of room for welding things

Lots of welder for the low price and size....
Perfect .. awesome .. AFFORDABLE welder for a SMAW welding student to practice at home...and for occasional ..portable ..shop general maintenance..as I own a snow plowing business...Surprisingly...The unit produced nice deep penetrating beads with electrode positive on heavier material ....as well as nice smooth work on lighter iron with electrode negative... using 7018 on mill scaled steel with some light traces of rust......The cable leads and clamps were adequate , but not of super heavy cable for daily fabrication and industrial use ......as expected..for the price.....without dissatisfaction. The current led display seemed accurate within a few percent compared to a newer Lincoln I'm using at advanced welding B school.. as a comparison. It's small enough to fit in a milk crate..with the cables....and is only as heavy as a bowling ball. For the money...and portability.. you can't lose....... I was really surprised....As far as duty cycle... I didn't want to overheat it and wreck it...so let's leave that to be determined by a guy with deep pockets.....but I never had it trip or pauseAND....I welded 1" plate ...groove bevel joint ...6 inch vertical and overhead coupons for 4g and 5g position practice to get certified...both burning over 40 consecutive rods... and never had a duty cycle failure...FYI....the stacked welds I produced , with this inexpensive unit , were cut in two directions..and inspected by a certified inspector...they were sweet......and yes..now I'm certified...One last note...A Luxja 15.5 inch toaster cover ...sold on Amazon...made a perfect cover ...

Fantastic welder
This small DC welder is 80 % duty cycle . Amazing. I have used it 2 times so far and it worked great for me. I only used it on 240 volts. I have not tried it on 120 volts and probably will never use it on 120 volts .I am very pleased with this purchase .

VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE
I was shocked by how well it lays a bead. Even on 110v it welds very good and is very consistent. I am very surprised and happy with this budget welder. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested. It also welds 1/8 rod perfectly fine.

Very happy so far. Worth checking out.
I haven't had the chance to put this through it's real paces yet...but the couple things I've done initially give me a good feeling about this welder. I had some very small projects to do that are a bit difficult for an arc welder. I had to weld some washers to the back of some 9/16" hex nuts. The arc force adjustment was a great help (& probably essential), as it made it very easy to strike an arc & keep it lit with 1/16" 6013 rod at fairly low amp levels, (30 - 35). It also worked beautifully with some 3/32 Zina stainless rod on thin walled steel tubing and also a heavy piece of hardened steel. All the aforementioned were towards the repair of the front axle on an old lawn tractor. That project was successful and I look forward to getting other projects checked off my list.A quick review of the overall welder & purchase process: Welder arrived about a week and a half after I ordered it. Not bad at all. The stinger and ground clamp are on par with about all the small, inexpensive welders I looked at. They'll work but I upgraded the stinger & will eventually replace the ground clamp with a cast copper clamp. This is the only welder I've seen in this price range with an 80% duty cycle in all ranges. It will operate on 110, but I've only run it @ 220. Will add more to review if helpful after I've used it on more work.
