Military Grade Drop Impact Case for Galaxy Note 8 with 360 Metal Ring Kickstand, Magnetic Car Mount & Shockproof Armor - Red

Lightweight but good looking case.
First off, Military Grade is a straight out lie. Minimal protection. Loosely fits on the phone. Very thin. The kickstand is really loose and protrudes out. So be careful laying it down or you will damage the desk or table. Also, be careful laying it down on the screen side. It does not have raised bumpers to protect the screen.

Nice case but it does not protect the screen
I purchased this case for my Note 8 on Feb 25th. I swapped it for an old leather case with front cover I had had for a few years. The leather case with cover provided better overall protection, I have dropped my phone several dozen times with the older case and never had an issue. I have maybe dropped my phone 6 times since putting on the new case and the screen is cracked on the bottom right corner.Great case if you never intend on dropping your phone.

Just can't love it
I wanted to love this, but I just can't.It looks tactical and rugged. I do like the ring kickstand. It seems reasonably sturdy after just a few days, but I've had other similarly constructed devices fail, so only time will tell. It fits well and the buttons and cutouts are correct. That's about the end of the decent stuff. On to the not so good stuff. There are sharp edges all over this thing. I don't mean it will cut you, but it is uncomfortable to hold. Then there's the sort of velvety slick finish on the back. It's nice to touch, but it makes the phone feel slippery, so I feel like I have to hold it tighter which makes the sharp edges that much more uncomfortable.More importantly, however, is that there is no screen protection. I don't mean over the glass--I mean around the glass. If you lay the phone on its face, there is less than a business card depth of clearance between the screen and the table. Seriously, if you drop this phone and it lands on its face, kiss that screen goodbye! As I wait on a new case, I guess this one is an OK placeholder, and it's hard to complain too much given the price, but it's not worth the money if it won't protect your phone when needed.

The magic metal "Ring" is great
The metal "ring" on the back is great. It adds stability in holding your phone, as you can slide your finger through the ring and keep a firm and stable grip. It works great with my magnetic mounts in my vehicles. The kick-stand feature is cool as you can watch videos (as you eat lunch, in my case) with the phone happily standing by itself. The case looks good, feels good in the hand and still slides into my pocket. The only down side is that is DOES NOT come with a glass protection, that you have to get separate. With that said, this would not deter me from purchasing it again.

Doesn't work
Doesn't connect to magnet mount. Waste of money

It WAS good...this is a serious review with humor. Suck it up.
This case WAS good for a while. I haven't dropped my phone that much and when I did, the case held up really well and protected my phone as should all other cases (I think). One thing that could be improved about this case is the ring on the back. (As most other customers have the same problem with the ring). It does its job to a certain extent until you use it more and more. I use it mainly to hold my phone up as I watch Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney+ while eating Oreos and drinking Milk on sad midnight Sunday nights as I'm thinking about going to school the next morning. I bought the case in June 2020 and thought it was a really good case until I took the case off to put a gold joker card in and put it back on my phone but after a little while (like a month or so) the case's outer parts started to discolor and turn white (I have a black phone case so this made me question life in and of itself over and over again until I found myself watching Time Trap upsidedown on the couch on Netflix). The next thing is the ring. The ring falls off quite often because of how many times I spin it making the plastic gears get worn. This review is seriously a serious review with serious events that seriously happened, seriously.
