Difficult to install; functions well, but not perfectly.
First, the install is quite difficult. Mostly because of how much time it takes to safely remove the old keyboard in preparation for connecting the new one. The actual connection itself of the new one is more straightforward, but since it requires complete removal of the previous materials, I'm bunching that together. Would absolutely recommend watching a number of walk through videos in their entirety before trying to work on the keyboard. You'll also need a number of tools not included here.Once installed, the keyboard fits nicely and visually looks as expected - I can't see a difference between this and the original keyboard. The function, however, is not quite as effective. A number of the keys are slightly offset in the way the keyboard was manufactured, meaning the keys don't always strike cleanly when pressing them. If the OEM keyboard is 100% effective, then this is probably about 94% effective. My old keyboard stopped working entirely (after 9 years of use) so compared to that, this one is a good replacement. But it doesn't press as accurately or feel as nice as the original keyboard did.If needing a replacement for a non-functioning keyboard, I would recommend this one; however, do not expect the quality and consistency of the original.

good replacement keyboard.
This keyboard has been working for several months since install. It was not hard to install if you are able to work on stuff. If you have trouble, use a YouTube video.

Cheaper than Apple
First keyboard that arrived was faulty, but the replacement works great! I'm thrilled I'm able to have a working keyboard again for $22 instead of the $400+ Apple was asking for a full top case (the only method of keyboard replacement they offered) or using an external keyboard I have to carry around separately. My laptop required 5 or so different screwdriver shapes and sizes, so make sure to have a full set before your keyboard arrives as the included screwdriver only really works for the tiny black screws in the box.

Good product, difficult to install
Good product but takes several hours for installation and additional tools not provided. Search for videos on entire replacement process before purchasing.

Not recommended.
Installed the keyboard, been using it for 6-7 months now. It "works" as advertised however there are issues.1) There is an adhesive covering the end of the cable which needs to be cleaned carefully and thoroughly before inserting it into your laptop or some keys wont work.2) the tiny screws provided pop out when installing leaving some keys to be mushy when pressed3) when cleaning the keys the black portion of the keys starts coming off leaving the white underside and letters to become unreadable.Find another manufacturer, trust. Also this install is for advanced users only. If you don't have experience taking your laptop apart, I would recommend just buying the bottom case.

Difficult Install
While installation of the keyboard is much more difficult than just replacing the top case, this is a good alternative if you have the patience and time.
