I was hesistant to buy this at first, but I am glad that I did! It is easy to use, easy to set-up, and its slim design makes it easy to store when I am not using it. I can comfortably use it while having a notebook next to the computer and it's allowed me to work while standing a lot more. Definitely recommend!

Bought this to create a stand up desk at work and it’s so easy to use and move to the side when I do t want to use it.

This review is for VIVO Black Small Single Top 28 inch Standing Desk Converter.Pros:- Great workmanship- Surprisingly steady- VERY compact and light- Locks in place far better than the other Vivo models, BUT...Cons:- ...Locks ONLY AT PRE-SET HEIGHTS, with a minimum height!! (However, the minimum height part is not unique to this Vivo model.)- The scissor lift means the feet are shifting on the desk surface each time this is raised/loweredThis is the second one I tried from Vivo, the first one being VIVO Economy Single Top Height Adjustable 29 inch Standing Desk Converter. This one is the one I ended up returning, but NOT because I disliked it. It doesn't work in my situation, which is unique, but I think for most people, this will work perfectly.My biggest concern was that this model, with its scissor lift feet sans a rectangular frame, would be unsteady. It's VERY steady and smooth, and stability wasn't an issue at all. But the shifting feet presented a problem in my case, because my desk has a large cutout at the center that just doesn't jive with the scissor lift feet. This is why I ended up returning this one and keeping VIVO Economy Single Top Height Adjustable 29 inch Standing Desk Converter instead. But I think for someone with a normal desk without my handicap, this one will work just fine.Having tried two Vivo products, I am VERY impressed to say that I LOVE both. The workmanship is truly commendable, and with each one I could feel the thoughts that went into the products to complement their strengths. For example, this model doesn't give the spring-assisted upward lift VIVO Economy Single Top does, BUT it's also so much lighter that I didn't NEED the upward lift at all. It locks only at pre-set heights, but it remained in place much BETTER than the VIVO Economy Single Top Converter. And there were enough variations to the locking heights that I was able to easily find one that worked for me (I'm 5' 2"). It's nothing like some of the other cheaper models that offer only THREE pre-set heights, and I really cannot say enough positive things about the workmanship. Vivo completely blew the cheaper models out of the water!This one is very compact but has enough space for one Dell XPS 15 and a mousepad (portrait orientation). The small size is an asset when you think about the fact the converter space is a dead space - you cannot ever put anything else under it. This particular size doesn't work for my personal setup, but if small is what you're looking for, this will work beautifully.

I have been trying to decide whether to see if I should purchase another of these or whether I should try a different brand. I ordered this in November of 2023. Sometime around mid December, it started seemingly randomly collapsing. Upon examination, it looks like a wobble in just the right way slips the pins that hold the thing at a height out of place. Now, this could be a defective piece, and I might be willing to try again but for a couple things: as others mentions, it only locks in certain positions. If your best ergonomic position is not one of those positions, this won't work for you. Second, it's JUST a little two small for my keyboard and mouse to fit comfortably, forcing an un-ergonomic position for mousing.I don't think this is a horrible product by any means: it's economical, and if one of those positions does work for you, it's healthier than not. However, I note others have mentioned the collapsing problem.After a bit, I ordered a gaming chair and put an extra tall hydraulic lifter on it. It means I don't stand, and sooner or later I'll need to find another keyboard/mouse lifter to solve that and get monitor VESA clamps that are easier to adjust for standing/sitting, but for now, this is working.

I sit all day at work and needed something easy to put up and down. It is wide enough to use my mouse and still have extra space. I am only 5 feet tall but my husband is 6’2”. We are both able to use it. It is sturdy, easy to operate and reasonably priced. I have recommended this to several people.

I purchased the VIVO Black Small Single Top 29 inch Standing Desk Converter and it’s great.The structure of the unit is much more sturdy than I had anticipated. Quality materials used.In the description of the product it wasn't fully clear if the height adjustment had predetermined height settings, such as only 3 settings: low, medium and high, or if the height could be set at any point between the lowest and highest points; I was pleasantly surprised that the height adjustment can be set at ANY point in between.Also, the customer support is excellent -I needed to contact their customer support for a small issue, not worth mentioning, and I’m happy to say that VIVO’s support is stellar. They were very quick to respond to my concerns, clear in their communication and they resolved my issue fast. I’m very impressed with both the product and the service.

The desk is very sturdy and easy to adjust in height. There are safety measures in place when adjusting the height as it extends slowly and smoothly. The only thing to be aware of is that this is quite heavy.

Love it. I’ve been looking for something like this for years. Finally found one in this product!

Had it for 1 month. Really like that I can stand up now. But be slow and gently - will last longer.
