Wonderful cookbook!
This book was a tie in to the TV series, but it is a beautiful cookbook, clearly researched, detailed for the home cook or chef and includes notes before each recipe, for instance Gluten Free has a GF and so forth. Celtic recipes and Southern recipes with a nod to North Carolina and the shows plot line. Exactly what I was looking for with many Gluten Free recipes also how to do substitutions in the kitchen and beautiful layout, pictures and a fancy print job. Wonderful for yourself or as a hostess gift for a history pal or fan of the show or Southern recipes.

Easy to follow recipes & yummy!
I had purchased Teresa’s first Outlander recipe book, but gifted it to a friend before I had a chance to make many recipes. So I bought both for myself for Christmas! I love that she gives alternatives for gluten-free and vegan versions in this book. I’m not vegan or gluten intolerant, but my daughter is.Beautiful photography and simple step-by-step instructions. This book is the ORIGINAL. Do not purchase any plagiarized versions being sold of this one or her first Outlander cookbook.

Initially Dismayed but Now a Believer
Like many other reviewers, I am a big fan of the first Outlander Kitchen cookbook. I ordered this one without taking ‘a look inside,’ because the original book was so terrific. Also, the cover on this one is just beautiful, especially with Fall just around the corner. When I got the book, and began leafing through it, I was at first a little taken aback. The recipes didn’t just instantly appeal to me, as the ones in the first book did. However, I had planned a dinner around the Outlander Kitchen II for a blog post, and so I made five dishes from this book (and I included 2 from the first as well). The dishes I made from Outlander II were:Herb Roasted Salmon, Coquille St Jacques, Jerry MacKenzies Time-Travelling Pasties, Tarragon Deviled Eggs, and Bacon Savories (and from Outlander Kitchen I, Banoffee Triffle, Salad with Basic Dressing)I have to admit, my opinion of the second volume has changed since cooking from it. I really loved the dishes.Yes, many of the dishes are what you might call ‘classics re-done,’ but I still loved them. And being someone who feels like comfort food is her soulmate, the Outlander Kitchen books are right up my alley. My husband’s favorite dish from the book was the Bacon Savories, my favorite was a toss between the Pasties and Coquilles St Jacques. The latter was cooked in a method that produced the softest and best taking scallops I’ve ever had from my kitchen. In the past, rubber-iness has been an issue. My only regret is that I didn't have any of the baking shells, nor the time to order them. But they worked fine in my Le Creuset oval gratin dish - they just didn't have the panache presentation that shells deliver. The pasties were good both hot and cold, I made some appetizer-sized ones for our dinner, and made a few large ones for lunch the next day. They would be terrific for a picnic. The Tarragon Deviled Egg recipe can be used for typical Deviled Eggs or can be used for tea sandwich filling or regular sandwich filling. The other entrée type dish I made, the Herbed Roasted Salmon, was nice and light and it’s a good alternative to our normal grilled salmon dinner.I give the book 5 stars.

Awesome Outlander cookbook, I LOVE IT! great photos
This cookbook is fantastic, well made, great design, and layout, It also has Gorgeous full-page images! I love how she added a pantry notes section for suitable substitutions for certain ingredients: flour types, dairy free, oil etc. I also love how she has all recipes labeled for dairy free, or gluten free, vegetarian, And if the recipe can be altered to be assuch. I LOVE the Outlander quotes in this cookbook as well. I highly recommend this cookbook, it's got great recipes, and a must for any Outlander fan.

My expectations (which were high) have been exceeded
This isn’t your typical cookbook. It could take its place with the art books on my coffee table - that’s how beautiful it is. It’s such a joy to read, yes READ, because along with delightful recipes, we are entertained by snippets and scenes from the books by author Diana Gabaldon, and best of all - the wicked wit and sly humor of the cookbook’s author, Theresa Carle-Sanders. A must-have for folks (like me) who enjoy a glass of wine and a good laugh while they cook.

Book #2 in Outlander Kitchen Cookbook
I got this for Christmas & was surprised there was a second cookbook! I have made a number of things from the first and with my Outlander obsession, this was a perfect gift.Although in the Books and Show (on Starz), they will eat wild game, if you don't have access to squirrel, hare, venison ... There are substitutions you can make to these recipes. Most of the recipes come with an introduction to the recipe with quotes from the book from which it was introduced.Verra clever 🏴

Mine arrived 2 days ago and I can't wait to get stuck in, I think it will be Mrs Figg's flapjack as the first up so I can nibble while reading Diana Gabaldon's fantastic series though i know the children are wanting the chocolate cake.Thankyou Theresa Carle-Sanders for another edition of your amazing recipes
