Chapin International 1-Gallon Seal Poly Sprayer for Deck Cleaners and Transparent Stains and Sealers Chapin 25012 Clean 'N, Yellow/Black

I read a lot of reviews regarding different sprayers and I had no idea there were so many types based on the chemicals you are using. I just needed a pump sprayer to brighten/clean my deck and nothing more. This Chapin pump sprayer did just that.I read the Chapin reviews and was very surprised on all the negative reviews because I hear this was a good pump for what I needed. Then I noticed the majority of the negative reviews were written when the consumer used the sprayer for staining. Look, I get it. One the sprayer itself it states it can be used for stain, sealer, and wash, but who uses a pump sprayer for full stain?! I cannot vouch for the negative reviews because I would not try staining with anything under $30. The have professional sprayers for a reason. Like I said, I purchased this to wash my deck and it worked terrific. I have a pergola as pergola as well (12'x20') and I was able to spray everything under 30 minutes.The wand has way more power than I expected (I was thinking round-up sprayers) and I only had to re-pump every five (5) minutes or so. It came with three (3) nozzles and I used only the one (red cap) and it was perfection. I will be using this to wash my fence later this year. I believe this pump sprayer will last for years. It seems very durable, but again, I will not be staining or sealing.If you are just washing your deck, this pump sprayer will be able to do everything you need it to do with no hassles and will last for years to come. I cannot say the same about the staining, but washing I give it five (5) stars!

I purchased this low priced Chapin pump sprayer with a fan tip to apply an Armor solvent based concrete sealer on my pool surround fully intending to discard it after the one time use. This sprayer does not have gaskets compatible with a solvent based liquid, but for a one time application it worked just fine. Just wrote it off as part of the expense of the application. In a couple months I will be sealing my new paver & patio with a water based sealer & have already purchased another one of these Chapin pump sprayers for that job. May try clean this one after using the water based sealer to use for something else, like spraying pesticides. Recommended.

This product got a lot of bad reviews but there aren’t a lot of lower end options, so I decided to chance it. I used this to apply a semi transparent stain to a new 6’ cedar fence. I completely read the directions, assembled the sprayer and chose the nozzle that was appropriate for staining my new cedar fence. The pump held the pressure well and the nozzle applied enough stain. I ditched the spray shield early in the process as it blocked my view. I also used a fence stain brush to even out the sprayed application (which I do recommend). In my opinion it doesn’t apply the stain evenly enough to go with the sprayer alone. The stain I used had water clean up so when I was done I was able to fully clean out the sprayer and all of the accessories.

The way it sprays is the worst part! We waisted so much stain and it was such a hassle using! Especially for the price it's not worth it! I would have used a much cheaper version and could have gotten better results.After contacting customer support, I was told this product isn't for stain. Even though it says for stain in the description (or it did) when we purchased it not sure if they updated it after everyone's complained. I was told it can't be any thicker than water.

Work very well doesn't clog when staining my fence.

this product does not spray when you use oil-based wood sealer. The website did not state this fact and neither did their brochure. It was a disaster and I ended up using a brush.

I used this product to spray sealant on my garage floor, driveway and side walk. This sprayer worked very well and came with multiple spray tips which helped control the rate of application. It was very easy to use and I was able to spray a nice even application throughout the entire process. It seems like a good quality product and I would recommend giving this product a try before buying one of the more expensive sprayers.

You might not be happy with this item, I'm not. I used mine for the fl1st time today to spray my dock with cleaner. It sprayed ok BUT the wand kept loosening up and tank looses pressure.There's no pressure release value so you may get a face full of what's inside when you need to unscrew pump to rinse and store. Also with this unit there is no brass fittings, or measuring cup or better wand. NOTE: SPEND THE EXTRA GET BETTER. I'M DISAPPOINTED.
