Perfect for an Elegant Tufted Velvet Look
This order was a total surprise! I needed chairs for my dining table - the ones I had were wood and everyone complained about how uncomfortable they were - so I needed an alternative that wouldn't break the bank. I'm in a rental and didn't want to invest too much in nice chairs (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I tend to love furniture and keep buying new stuff).I ordered 4 of these as a place-holder for my table and was surprised at how much I loved them when they arrived. Yes, the upholstery material is velvet, so it has the problems that comes with velvet - it needs to be brushed regularly with your hands in one direction so it doesn't appear discolored or old, which is my biggest cosmetic problem with velvet. My favorite part of these chairs is the back, because the piping has been done beautifully around the back, it has clean lines and is well-made. The tufting is a comfortable depth and adds a lot to the over-all look. The chairs feel substantial and heavy, not light, cheap or uncomfortable. It took about five minutes to build each chair. When these arrived, the box said Cocoa, not Taupe. I didn't get a wonderful idea of the color on the pictures, but I needed something in the brown family, so I decided to just try them. They are a nice shade of brown-ish grey, they'll go well with black, brown, white, red and gray furniture. A pair arrived in a single box. The build quality and look is great and everyone at home is really enjoying these chairs. My only complaint would be that the very edges of the seat, facing away from the back rest look under-stuffed, I'm not sure why they are so flat, but I have noticed that because of that, the edges of the seat don't bend down when you sit down, which does happen on another pair of velvet tufted chairs I own.I’d definitely recommend these if you like the elegant tufted velvet look. Mine are no longer place-holders, I'm keeping these and I'll probably order another pair soon.

Delighted!
I've been on the hunt for new dining chairs for a couple of years. My desire for a chair of this style without nailhead, decently made at a reasonable price led to a lot of dead ends. While a very loyal Prime customer for just about everything, I had not searched them for chairs. I ordered these in Gray, not Taupe as shown in the header of this review. These arrived packaged two per box (I ordered 6 chairs) with a genius approach to storing the legs (that require a limited bit of assembly), behind a zippered cover on the bottom of the seat. While not difficult, attaching all 24 legs took me a couple of hours as I was diligent in tightening down the bolts with the legs evenly fitted. These chairs are sturdy, well made and also comfortable. Comfort had seemed to be a challenge to find with many previous options I looked at. My taste airs on the pricier side so places like RH, RH Modern, Arhaus, Room & Board, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrell, all had chairs that I would have been pleased with from a style perspective at some point during my search but I am also somewhat thrifty so the pricing was too difficult to swallow from those retailers and many of the chairs I tried from these stores were not at all comfortable. One leg did come scratched but beyond that, I could not be more pleased, especially at this price point.

Beautiful Dining Chairs
I hate furniture shopping. Mostly because everything is so expensive! We found a really nice dining room table in the scratch & dent section at a big furniture retailer for $200. Of course that meant it didn't come with chairs. Most of the chairs I found were more expensive than our table and I couldn't justify that, especially because I needed 8 total. I saw these and read the reviews about how some people had issues with the packaging and the corners being crushed. I decided to take a chance and ordered 4 sets. They arrived on time and I was able to assemble them myself. The legs are in the bottom of the seat in the zipper compartment as everyone stated. And a couple of the screw holes were tougher than others but overall we are really happy with the chairs. The ones we use the most need the legs tightened every now and then. I hope that doesn't become a bigger problem in the future, but for now they are six months old and still beautiful. The other thing I'll mention is I wanted gray chairs to go with the dining room motif. However after reading reviews a lot of people were upset with the taupe chairs looking too gray. I decided to order taupe and they are in fact gray. Very confusing, but it worked out for me because that's what I was going for. So just be mindful of the color selection.

The chairs arrived really fast from the seller and the price was superb.
The chairs arrived really fast from the seller and the price was superb. They have graceful lines, dark cherry wood legs, and a solid seat. They were simple to unpack and assemble. I had them put together in minutes. I like the firmness of the seat as I don't want to sink into a chair at the dinner table. The tufted backs are tight and corded to add strength to the seams. I sprayed two light coats of Scotchguard and just wipe crumbs off - no spills yet. I use a lower back pillow because the seats curve so there is no lumbar support, but I love the look of the pillows on the chairs - very inviting. The color taupe adds a nice touch with all the browns and beiges of my furnishings. It has a touch of cocoa, grey, and even picks up some lavender in the room. That's what I love about the color taupe - it has a softness that complements other colors. Highly recommend these chairs!
