AURSINCMMDVM Hotspot Board (V1.5.2) + Antenna Support UHF VHF Support P25 DMR YSF DSTAR NXDN POCSAG for Raspberry Pi-Zero W, 2W, Pi 3, 3B, 3B+, 4 (with OLED)

Set this up as a DMR hotspot using pi-star. Setup took less than 10 minutes and it works great. Lots of documentation out there for these boards. Can’t beat it for the price.

I paired this board with a Raspberry Pi 2W and the WPSD software. After a bit of configuration, I had a hotspot which I used successfully in YSF mode. Note that the screen is a .96 inch display.

This board is what it says it is. Quality construction, packaged well, and worked on first boot after installing to the top of my Raspberry Pi B+. The OLD screen is small but provides enough information for everyday use. I'm using it on UHF and have not tested it on VHF. I mostly use it as a Fusion Hot Spot C4FM, which has been flawless.Users who purchase this product should have a working knowledge of digital modes, a digital radio, a working Raspberry Pi, and a flashed microSD card with Pi-Star or WPSD installed. Nothing else is needed except a power supply for your Pi.

Fairly straightforward to setup, but it will not receive any radio transmission. This seems to be a common problem with these units.Edit: The seller provided a replacement which has been working fine

The media could not be loaded. I installed this on an old Raspberry Pi Zero W I had laying around, burned an SD card with the latest WPSD (with WiFi setup when burning the image so the Pi Zero W would connect to my wifi), and it fired right up the first time. I used the mmdvm firmware upgrade command that comes with WPSD to upgrade this AURSINC board to firmware 1.6.1 so it'll support M17, and that also worked with no issues. I've used it with YSF, DStar, and M17 so far and all work great.

I've been building hotspots for myself & others for almost 5 years now. If you are wanting to set up a hotspot on a budget, these modems cannot be beat. ZUMspot boards can no longer be bought by themselves (must be purchased as a complete unit), and the LoneStar boards are often out of stock via that vendor. These units work just as well at almost half the price, and come ready to operate with no offset correction needed. I've purchased numerous models with the OLED already attached, and they also sell a version with no display at all (you use those for building a larger hotspot that have Nextion LCD display screens).I've only ever had ONE unit show up bad from Aursinc, and they processed an exchange for me in less than 24 hours.

Putting together a second hot spot so when I travel. I'm piecing together a wifi hot spot for my DMR and P25 radio. The current Rasberry pi is currently working, snapped in the display and mount a new image on the microSD card and fire it up. Got all the blinking lights and display failed to power up. Stuck the old model and display on and it works. I double checked all the solder joints and continuity on the board and everything checks out. So far it's still not working.

this plus the raspberry pi makes for a nice DMR hotspot
